Broncos vs Panthers in SB50

The O-Line has been a problem for New England the last few years, they won the Super Bowl with that line, but not because of it. Losing Nate Soldier was big. But, being embarrassed on the national stage like that is cause for change. This line being bad is not a sudden development, though, and he wasn't fired because of one single game.

Thank you Millah for supporting the point I was making to Joker. Denver D exploited a known weakness of NE. That is smart football on their part and really shouldn't be construed as a powerful D who "owned" someone, especially when the margin of victory was only 2 points. That leads to another question for the Broncos fans....if the Denver D "owned" Brady and the margin of victory was 2 points.....what does that really say for the effectiveness of Manning and the Denver O?

I really don't have rose colored glasses in this one but just calling what I see through unbiased eyes. Denver is in trouble.

The media keeps saying that they owned the Patriots because they racked up 3.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, and hit Brady 20 times. They only blitzed 17% of plays, a season low for the Broncos.

The Broncos also gifted the patriots the ball on the 20 when they didn't go after a lateral, which looked like a forward pass. The 2nd touchdown didn't come until very late after they had already failed on 4th down in the redzone twice. None of this would have happened if Peyton wouldn't have gone 3-and-out on nearly every possession in the 4th quarter. The defense was gassed by the end of game, and Gronk made a big play. Gronk and Hightower were about the only silver lining for the Patriots that day.

And for the margin of victory of 2 points over the Patriots, what does it say? Nothing. Almost all of Denver's wins have been within one score.

I hate to say it, but I think Carolina is going to boat-race Denver. Lately, Denver doesn't seem to have any will to solve the issues of their O-line. This crushed them a couple years ago, and it's going to crush them now. The Denver GM should be tarred and feathered for wasted the last few years of Peyton Manning's career.

I'm not a huge Broncos follower but they got pro-bowler G Evan Mathis this year and some blame for previous year's O-line issues can probably be attributed to injuries to pro-bowl LT Ryan Clady... John Elway went out and got a Super Bowl caliber defense and he should be tarred and feathered?

Margin of victory has nothing to do with how the Broncos D played.

Holding the Patriots to 18 while performing the way the D did does have something to do with how the Broncos D played.

The Broncos have opted to wear their white uniforms.

Denver has been absolutely annihilated every time they wear orange. They cannot wear blue because they deemed their blues as alternates in 2012 and the NFL does not allow alternates in the Super Bowl.

Also, the Panthers have been avoided black this post season because their only Super Bowl loss came while wearing black.

Nice job Perky of posting half of the statement. Here is the other half that you either ignored or failed to comprehend. (I did enlarge and color the D and O in case an optical problem was the issue).

Anybody who has watched the Broncos this year knows if they do pull off the win in the Super Bowl, it will be on the backs of the Defense. Manning is a shell of his former self.
