Yeah the whole "Fran Fade" thing is pretty old and outdated. Iowa is 27-12 in February the last 5 seasons.

In regard to Hapless Wisconsin...I concur glad to see that.

I do think the Fran Fade is overdone, but all the analysis of Fran's record towards the end of seasons always conveniently exclude what he had done in March---the season doesn't end in February.

The Fade gots its root because is early best teams all fell off a cliff in B1G play. A multi team-3 place senior Devyn Marble led team, and multi team 3rd place senior Uthoff led team both had big losing streaks in February and then thudded in BTT.

Fran also had some early so-so teams teams that did opposite of Fade in B1G. The Gatens (NIT) team had strong February because Gatens carried that team as senior. Aaron White also carried a so-so team a a Senior in Feb.

March has been consistently Meh to Bad and I think they can accurately be described as a fade.

The BTT is played in March. Outside of the Keegan Murray led team that won the BTT, Fran's record in BTT has been Horrible. Even with the BTT year, Fran's record in BTT is a below 0.500. I do value the one BTT title...there are 14 teams in Big Ten and Fran has one it once in 14 years. Alford won it twice in 8 years.

Fran's NCAA tourneys which occur in March have been Fades. No debating that.

You seem too interested in trying to replicate Wisconsin’s style of play. Perhaps you need to watch more basketball that’s not Iowa or Wisconsin. You’ll learn there are many ways to play the game.
I just asked a simple question. Would you rather have Iowa's style of play or Wisconsin's level of success?

Myself? I absolutely love a high-scoring, fast-paced style of game.

But even moreso, I love winning. It doesn't matter what style of ball it might entail, I'm taking it if it brings a higher level of success.

I think at this point we can all guess what your choice might be

We all know that the record in postseason has been awful apart from the 1 BTT title run. We don't need to rehash that every single time for fans to recognize that which is why I excluded it. As you said, the Fran Fade expression began because of a couple of teams with very hot starts that had bad February's and had teams that were projected to be good seeded teams in the NCAA tournament and fell all the way to being 10 or 11 seeds. That aspect, has in-large been debunked as recent teams have actually surged later in the season. Everyone knows that these surges have not amounted to anything of note in March other than the BTT title.
