Caitlin Clark. McDonalds All American. Naismith HS Semifinalist. Watch the current highlight videos

Coach Bluder actually had two McDonald's Americans coming in in 2002, both from the Chicago suburbs, Johanna Solverson and Lindsay Richards. Unfortunately both suffered ACL injury, Lindsay Richards got it twice and had her playing career cut very short. Solverson in her redshirt senior year of 2007-2008 helped Coach Bluder win her only Big Ten regular season championship, together with a trio of 1000-point scoring juniors of Kristi Smith, Wendy Ausdemore and Megan Skouby.

Sam Logic was a McDonald's All American as well. I'm thrilled that Clark chose the University of Iowa and Coach Bluder. She'll be an all-time great.

That's not fair!

She is obviously light years beyond anyone she is playing against in IGHS ball, and very deserving of all the accolades. It will be curious to see if she has the "adjustment" period at all that so many talk about as the "game speeds up" at the next level. I'm sure she's played hundreds of games and against all kinds of talented girls, but she looks like she'll jump right in!

She’s a two-time Gold medalist with Team USA, U16 and U19. She’s also an all-state soccer player.

Yeah I have watched her many times and it’s really remarkable how effortless everything is to her at the high school level. I don’t want to sound critical but it almost has to be frustrating for her given that she is so much better than everyone she plays with, I think I can get her frustrated at times and she is a very competitive, outspoken player.

It’s really the perfect time with 22 leaving. Pretty similar mentality, but Caitlin is bigger, more athletic, and a better shooter.

The biggest adjustment maybe instead of being the focus of the offense to running an offense involving the talent of the whole team.

don't think it will be a problem. She shares the ball plenty in the Olympic venues with other top-tier talent. She's a talent unlike what Iowa has ever had under Bluder.

really good to hear, I really believe Lisa is a great coach for Iowa. Outside of wrestling getting truly elite talent to come to Iowa has been difficult

Yeah it will be interesting to see if other top-flight talent is interested in coming to Iowa to play with Clark. And that's no slight on the current roster, as the current freshmen class looks good at Iowa.
