Caitlyn Clark --- go ahead and

He couldn't attend games at City High...the school where the girls play/ed. Of course, it's possible that lunatic can't go to games at West High either. FYI....he was also banned from the grounds of his youngest's elementary school last year.
WOW! That's a deal breaker for lot's of college recruiters, I would think.

Not a new phenomenon, but Jeebus!

The guy sounds like a total whack job

He is insane. And I don't mean that in a hyperbolic sense.
Was he always this way? Seemed in the distant past he was more benign. This behavior seemed more prevalent after his Solon business started having issues, but maybe that was just when I started to notice it.

I knew Brian when we were in high school...played quite a bit of hoops with him. I think he was fairly calm until he had kids, then he became "that parent".

I was at a City High girls game and there was a play where his daughter fumbled the ball, tried to pick it, dropped it, then it went off her foot and out of bounds. Just one of those plays that can and has happened to anyone who has played. I chuckled a bit, in more of a "damn this game is crazy at times" way, and he went off on on me...standing up and screaming at me from 3-4 rows in front of me. I honestly thought he was going to jump over those between us and start throwing hands.

Sounds like Fennelly sold his soul or is simply feeling the pressure for one, last run at ISU.

Just can't imagine being a HC and dealing with that kind of shit.

Bill put restrictions on when and where Brian was welcome. He was hoping the distance would be enough to diminish Brian's impact. Unfortunately, Lisa didn't have such a luxury.

When did he get banned from City and West High games? I thought he was at both last year.

Sometime last year....not sure when. During his oldest's Sr. season at City he was restricted to sitting on the student side of the gym (i.e. away from other parents) and was required to sit next to a school administrator at all times.

I wonder if dad was inside Carver when her daughter missed the 3-pointer that would have tied the game at the end of regulation last year.

.....Or he saw a chance to nab a top 20 kid in Ashley and a top 100 kid in Aubrey. Could be interpreted as being smart.......

I remember reading this article & just laughing when Brian says he has no idea why Iowa hasn't recruited any of his girls... http://www.espn.com/espnw/sports/ar...state-commit-aubrey-joens-line-storied-family

You know when a program like Iowa has top tier talent growing up 15 minutes from campus there is a serious problem when they aren't recruited. Especially when Ashley said in an interview a couple of days before the Iowa game that Iowa was her dream school & it would have been nice to play at home in front of friends & family. I really felt for her when she was asked why Iowa didn't recruit her, she just said I don't know but the look on her face said something entirely different.

Kind of sad actually. Raised 4 girls who will each earn full scholarships for their high level of basketball and from what I've heard great kids in and out of the classroom.

If those comments are real it is truly a sad reflection on the parents.
If I were to have ever approached that level with my kids my wife would have drop kicked me down the road before I could mess things up like that.

Big 12 All Freshman Team. Gold Medal this summer. It's not going well...

Bill doesn't take crap. I think we all know that.

Nobody is saying she's a bad player or it's not going well for her at ISU. Merely discussing the reasons Iowa didn't recruit her. And I think we all know that 140 miles is the reason that "Bill doesn't take crap" in this particular instance.
