You'll probably try go to John Wayne one morning at 3 AM and accidentally shoot your wife in the teeth. That's more likely than you using a gun for self defense.
People take all kinds of chances. Guns are not the only one....but they are one...
I voted for Stein and have an AR-15 and an AK. I figure I'm just the exception to the rule.

Are you not concerned that the same government that wants to take our guns, is the same one that is arming the world (and our enemies and terrorists) with high tech weaponry and chemical weapons to make our world unsafe?

If we were Syria and the weapons we gave to the supposedly moderate rebels were now shooting up my home town, I might feel different. But we aren't. So can we stop making it easy for America's radical extremists to load up on weapons and ammo?
Note that the common thread on the domestic gun trade and the international gun trade is that in both cases our laws favor high sales and high profits. How do you, as a market guy, object to the international trade yet defend the domestic trade? Not trying to be snarky; just curious how you distinguish them to allow what seems to be nearly opposite stances.
Sounds like a lot of gang activity to me. The whole article just doesn't make sense. How would carrying a gun make you a target? Especially if people don't know that you're carrying a gun?
My guess is that most of these deaths were gang related, where everyone carries a gun. These are generally most of the shooting deaths in this country regardless. Of course, they won't tell you that most of these deaths are gang related because that doesn't fit their agenda. This is nothing but cherry-picking stats in order to come to a desired conclusion. It's just more proof of how statistics are so easily manipulated.

The guns are not being taken right now. That, you are correct. But, if you think for one moment that is not the long term goal, then I suggest you quit banging your head against the wall like a mental patient. From time immemorial, it has been the natural progression of totalitarian states. They always desire a monopoly on force. Possessing arms is the great equalizer. The 2nd says shall not be infringed. Yet, there are thousands of gun laws on the books that have infringed. Those whores are not to be trusted. Nor, the corporations that own them.
I think every man and nation has the right to self-defense...nukes and all. I vehemently oppose the initiation of force. Not too complicated.

The followers of Islam have already lit the fuse for WWIII and this one will make WWII look like a clam bake. The enemy wants you dead because you are who your are. They take no prisoners and they lop the heads off women and children. There is no such thing as reaching any type of agreement they simply want you dead because you are not one of them. They don't want your property or your money they just want you dead.

Obama shares as much blame as anyone for his lack of handling terrorist attacks here in the motherland and his lack of a spine to fight them overseas.
