I spent a week in Flint one night. Actually it was just a day...but that was enough. Bottled water only.

I agree CC was nervous. Notice how all her facial features were drawn tight as a drum on some of the times she smiled. I think that is nerves.
When people people see a "N" on a letter jacket, I doubt anyone would associate it with Nebraska.

Well. I think that was awesome. She did a great job and the crowd reaction was pretty memorable. And the writing was pretty great too.

No. She worked with a couple of writers who wrote everything for her. They probably wrote many jokes, asked her what she liked, chose the best ones together. They then coached her on delivery, pacing, etc. She confirmed that she worked with writers in an interview, the rest I’m inferring bc I’m a huge SNL fan and I’ve read up quite a bit on the process.
One thing that’s interesting is that there’s always a dress rehearsal at 9 pm before the broadcast where they go thru the whole thing before a live audience, try stuff out and more often than not cut some stuff. But reportedly Che did not know she was coming out, so that would mean her first take was her only take!
