He got shit lucky in that his draw emptied out after the first round, and then Bo slipped on an ankle pick, and lost his grip on a throw. After that he ran in the third, which was understandable, but hardly the most impressive champion last night. He's excellent and he had a great tournament, but he is 1-3 against Nickal, and Nickal wasn't the only one who beat him last year.

Well he wasn't the only one to beat Nickal this year so there.

I was pointed to this thread from a PSU board. I'm so glad that the Iowa fans I interacted with this weekend don't act like a majority of those posting on this board. I understand you are frustrated, but, the Iowa fans I met this weekend would be completely embarrassed by the majority of this thread.

Trust me, PSU fans can be awful. I was annoyed by our own fans far more this weekend than by any other fan base. Anyone who doesn't wrestle like Taylor, Ruth, Zain, or Nolf gets bad-mouthed. Half of them seemed angry after the final round. It is sad.

I have the utmost respect for the Iowa wrestling program. They are what PSU is still trying to get to. I loved the talks I had with Iowa fans this weekend.

This thread, however, is embarrassing to your fans and doesn't represent what I saw in NYC. The accusations of steroids by PSU, the ridiculous whining about Megaludis, the Sandusky call outs, etc, etc. Seriously, a rivalry is a great thing, but, it should be built from mutual respect. I have a ton of respect for Iowa wrestling and their fans. I'll just assume that a large portion of this message board represents the bad apples. Trust me, PSU has a ton of them, most of which started following wrestling the year after they won their first title under Cael.

Many of the posts are from people that have just shown up recently. Football or BB fans come over for a look and give their expert opinion.

Many of the regular posters don't even bother to respond to some of them because it is so crazy. The steroid post may not even be a Hawk fan. Who knows these days. It was stupid and embarrassing anyway. You have to learn to filter out some of the crazy stuff.
