This board kind of embarrasses me tonight. Yea Mega has always been more of counter/stalling wrestler over his 6 year career but he is a 3 time finalist so he is no chump. He got up early and that affords you to be able to run a bit late in the match.
We flat out got out hustled all around today in general. This steroid talk a bout penn state is rediculous. Penn state should be respected by Iowa fans for just what they are doing. For the most part their kids wrestle incredibly hard and try to score points just like we wish our guys would. Yes a lot of their fans a Johnny come latelys but their wrestling team is flat out incredible and I admit, I'm pretty jealous of what they have going on. Mostly because I really don't see any change to their dominance over us ending any time soon. I can see us as hawk fans complaining about our own guys' performances but wrestling fans should appreciate what they are doing right now. At least they wrestle the right way and it isn't OK St's crap style dominating the sport.

I suspect the anyonebutclinton guy is either an Iowa State fan or a Penn State fan just trying to stir things up. Find something better to do with your time.

The comments suggesting juicing are pathetic. The issues are all around talent. We are not going to compete with PSU if we don't recruit a few more difference makers. And we will continue to get passed by the likes of OSU, Okie St, Va Tech when we have massive holes in the lineup. A program like Iowa should never have holes like we do. No excuse for that. Our coaches are responsible for the lineup, and responsible for the development of that lineup. Are we in good shape there? Should we be happy with a top 5 program every year? That really isn't that bad, many other teams would love to have that success. I don't think it is good enough.

Yes I realize the steroid talk is probably trolling. Just sick of some fans whining and making excuses is all. I'm frustrated as hell also but come on guys.
Yes, as a Hawk fan that was embarrassing. I quickly hit the ignore button on his profile so his strings of embarrassing and ignorant comments would disappear.
As a Penn State fan I appreciate your comments. I have always considered Iowa the gold standard in college wrestling. We're having a good run, but tomorrow belongs to no one.
Tell the truth....you hate Cowboy style because of the scoreboard. Derringer has dominated for 3 years. Why risk losing his 3rd title?
lol ok amigo enjoy my hate you guys jhave have hated us for over 50 years and we sure enjoyed it. How come the great Nolf had to settle for his loss when you guys have been telling us he was the best of all lol love hating and if live long enough will have a day of love again .Enjoy ur run just keep most of your wild internet friends from pushings this stuff over here. 174 was not a good weight class this year. For those of you that don't think Marinelli can AA next year, you should look at what Martin just did. Marinelli is better right now than Martin was a year ago.
I don't know that he can AA next year or not. He is certainly a step in the right direction, but PSU has multiple top 5 guys. We need to go out and get more studs.
I'm talking about that I think Marinelli is better right now than Martin was at this time last year. It's not a 100% verifiable fact but that's what my eyes tell me. I'm well aware that Martin was a well thought of recruit
Ohhh my now the greatest coach of all time lost another one. You know it is a good thing that Ohio State and Okl state lost some studs with injuries and Hawks losing Stoll could be a different story.
Boy, Nickal sure lets the fur fly. Good Lord that was fun to watch. Kid left it on the mat, that's for sure. He's the only PSU wrestler I actually root for.
Then Ryan developed this kid into a national champ. Marinelli not winning national championship next year.
