This thing where every school can choose which brand of basketball to use is one of the dumbest things in sports. Obviously there should be one ball, the Wilson, which is the ball used in the NCAA tournament. One solution might be to have one NCAA ball but let each school put its own sponsor's stamp on it: Nike, UA, whatever.

But using half a dozen different basketballs is insane. IMHO, of course.

“obviously”... one company — Wilson (“obviously”) — should have a veritable monopoly on the supply of basketballs to 360+ college programs.

That's encouraging news, except the part where Fran said CJ is day-to-day, and "it's just probably going to be like that for the rest of the season."

Really hope he can come back and stay healthy, and help this team get to the Tourney.
