CNN: 26% democrats believe income inquality is most important...

Haven't Americans created this inequality themselves, through their own choices and through government?

I find it curious that people hold Wal-Mart and other large corporations up as being evil. Curious because millions of people have made the choice to spend their money there. Wal-Mart didn't put small local shops and grocers out of business, people's choices did. The government has done nothing but create complicate rules and regulations that cost a small business FAR more to comply with than a giant corporation. Take a look at the largest, richest companies in America. GM, Ford, Wal-Mart, Exxon-Mobile, HP, GE, Microsoft, ATT, Apple, etc etc. Consumers make the CHOICE to fund these companies and their massively rich investors/executives/founders.

So now the solution is to give the government more power to punish the rich for the choices of the masses?

It all seems rather silly to me. The move from a local economy to a national one is the reason there is income disparity. Moving more and more power to a national government rather than local ones seems backwards to me.

Why wouldn't income inequality continue to rise, with 16 million uneducated illegals crossing our southern border with only the shirts on their backs, all the while being encouraged and enabled by the Democrats? And of course now we need to elect Democrats to solve the problem they created. You can't make this shit up, really.

At some point I will be leaving on my own. I am tired of supporting your welfare state. You will complain when I leave because you won't have anyone to maintain the neighborhood and run the businesses. When people like me left the cities you complained about white flight.
Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

I see it as terribly unfortunate that YOU have no more confidence in the downtrodden than to project that they will turn to a life of crime if they in fact become motivated to improve their own lot in life. News flash...YOUR biases are showing.
Bias towards who? Poor people? I'm just being realistic. Some will suck it up. Some will not.

You will cry about white flight when people like me leave. Who is going to do the work to pay for your welfare? If you were willing to do the work you would not need welfare. YOUR people could not even maintain a small neighborhood when people like me moved to the burbs.

The illegals are more successful than the sons of slaves. The illegals learn the language, get jobs and send their kids to MIT. Did you know there are more AFrican immigrants in Harvard than AFrican Americans?

Be sure to take your trailer with you.

I think many people hold Wal Mart in low regard because they have profited by paying their employees low wages while the Walton kids are some of the richest people in America. So pay their employees low and then get their food stamps. Win win.

There are many reasons other than beating the competition for why people might dislike Wal Mart. Because clearly they have done some good things for keeping prices low

I got a kick out of watching the youngsters campaigning for Bernie hoping he gets elected to get them free college in a couple years. It hasn't dawned on them they'll eventually get taxed to death to pay for it. The rich won't put up with the tax. They'll either leave America or just stop re-investing in America and the economy will crash. Same for Medicare or Medicaid for all; all paid by future income tax increases. The interest on the debt has to be paid.

Remember, these are the same kids who got medals and ribbons for participation, not actually being excellent at something. They have been "given" most things already so why not college tuition right?

Well we better get some more illegals in here.

Might want to double check your history books.
Just double checked and it said there was slavery in this country and it had a negative impact in many different areas of black people lives that has carried over to today. These areas include:

Broken Traditions

African family traditions, which varied according to national origin and religion, could not be replicated in the New World after Africans were forced into slavery. The slave trade was responsible for breaking up African families. Husbands, wives and children could be sold separately because U.S. law did not legally recognize their families.

Broken Families

Enslaved Black people were denied a secure family life. Because they were property and could not legally marry, a permanent family could not be a guaranteed part of enslaved people’s lives. They had no right to live or stay together, no right to their own children, and it was common for enslaved parents and children to live apart.

Illiteracy

Schooling was not an option for enslaved children, and, in most states, it was illegal to teach enslaved Black people to read and write.

Unpaid Workforce

This use of unpaid labor to produce wealth lay at the heart of slavery in America. Enslaved people usually worked from early in the morning until late at night. Women often returned to work shortly after giving birth, sometimes running from the fields during the day to feed their infants.

Mortality Rate

More than one-half of Black infants died before they were 1 year old. This mortality rate was almost double that of whites. Although the survival rate improved after enslaved children reached a year of age, their mortality rate continued to be double that of whites until they were 14 years old.

If you want to use slavery as your never ending excuse to fail then you might as well go back to Africa since history does not change. You will never be successful.

PS. LOL at slaves.

Actually many of their ancestors were slaves. Who do you think built the pyramids, great wall, monuments and castles all over the world? That was not union labor bro.
So, your comparing the people who were slaves several centuries ago to a culture that has been dealing with discrimination/segregation within the last 50 years?

Ignoring the ugliest part of our nation's history seems to be right up your alley.

You obviously havent the slightest clue about Hispanic culture or history.

Wherever you go there will be lazy poor people. Hopefully they aren't too hungry when you walk by.
Lazy is good. We are already entering a future of too few jobs, thanks to tech advances and outsourcing. If not for well-developed laziness, there would be fierce competition for the insufficient available jobs. And by "fierce" I mean vicious and deadly.

Thank God for sports, TV shows, drugs, video games and porn. That keeps most of us distracted.

There are more jobs now in the US than at any other time in history, despite Obama's best efforts to torpedo business. We have to import Euros and Pacific Rimmers for the high end tech jobs and Mexicans for the labor jobs. If some slacker thinks he's coming after my job he better bring more than a game controller.

I don't ignore it. I also don't let it hold me down. Blacks on the other hand use it as an excuse to fail. They will still be using it as an excuse a thousand years from now.

Do you like being poor and living in crime ridden ghettos? Who wins?

No. The difference is 95% want to work. With blacks 95% do not want to work. Notice how every black neighborhood is a ghetto with high crime and violent schools? It is a sad fact.

zwick you are so full of sh^t..I'm betting your eyes are brown. Just where do you get your stats? Josef Goebbels would be proud of your thought process. You really this ignorant in your real life...or are you just flaming here?

Yes, all 300K employees were FORCED to work at Walmart.

And when they move into a city, they will receive local and state tax benefits of which smaller business do not receive.

I'm curious how you think Wal-Mart gets these?

I strongly dislike the mentality that we need to be protected from our choices and decisions. It's even better that we need to be protected from our government too, you know the ones that hand out all these local and state tax benefits like candy.

I speak the truth. I keep it real my brotha.

When the blacks start showing some pride and clean up their neighborhoods and stop destroying their schools I will give them the credit.

Can you name ANY good public high school in Philly, NYC, Chicago, DEtroit, or DC that does not have admissions testing? There are NONE thanks to diversity.

just like all those "Shovel ready" projects during the stimulus?
spend it on something....there were only a couple of "shovel ready" programs...but the money was never there to finance others, either....But allowing the rich to keep an inordinate share of money does no one any good. Rich don't spend it like poors would for groceries, RX, gasoline and the like....

Depends on what we do with the revenue, doesn't it?

I recently read that the 62 richest people in world own as much as the poorest half of the world's population. Or something like that.

I bet we could do a lot of good with a modest redistribution from just those 62 people that would still leave them filthy rich.

Really? You sure about that?

Run the numbers and let me know what you come up.

Don't forget to come back and share with the group.
