my problem with the right is they use their their perceptions of what god wants to impose rules/laws on everybody else. Don’t fvck with anybody elses fsmily in the name of your god.
I think you listen to the rights description of what the left is. Prople glom onto the twitter left who posts their dsily outrages on tiktok/twitter. Im not about that noise because thst is distracting. There are still progressive ideas, but they are attacked as socialist.
I will leave you with this. Not sure how you can get any meaningful movement for people to come together outside of 11 minute kumbaya internet video snippets
Ohhh, I know this well. I was in the south during the early 90's. I know all about in your face stuff.
I have no social media except here. I listen to them when I'm out in public.
So, I will break this down.
1) God - the left has cut them down on this since I was born. So, when you are removing the term God from everything, they feel you are attacking them in general. Just like a Trans wanting to be who they are. They right attack them on that. So, we get this huge push shove thing.
2) Country - They are pissed about the border, sending money all the time to foreign countries, nonstop wars. You insult them when you open up the border. Many are ex-military and fell upset about it. Just like the left feels the country should be open to all. The right agrees but want to have a process to do it. IMO, this wouldn't be an issue if Trump hadn't campaigned on a wall. That set the left off. Not that the border wasn't always an issue.
3) Family - They don't like when the schoolteachers have a say in their children lives. I agree with that. The parents own that right. They want the schools to get back to teaching the 4 basics again. I know that ruffles feathers, but it's why they are so angered.
For them I will say this.
1) Stop getting in their face with God. Let them believe in who they want.
2) The left has always looked first for the peaceful solution to fixing a conflict. They think that money is what drives foreign policies.
3) They think your ways are old school and there are better solutions to a broader education. Which I agree with. Work with them to ensure that the 4's are covered and they are also getting a broad knowledge to build from.
I'm not sure we can get everything back to the way it once was. By that I mean 10% or less were on the far sides of the parties. Now it's closer to 33%. So, when 2/3rds of the people are polar opposite there's not much hope. We need politicians who can come in and govern as a republic and not a democracy. Not sure that can happen.
