Cocaine Residue Found on Hunter Biden’s Gun Pouch

Heres the thing, anybody the dems would put up will be labelled by the right as marxist, communist, socialists so forgive me if i dont give two shits who republicans think we should run when it comes to their Trump problem
And you don't do that to them? Nazi's, rednecks, etc.

And you don't do that to them? Nazi's, rednecks, etc.
also while you are looking for a link, just remember i am not the ones lecturing republicans sbout how to defeat the guy that they say they xont support, but continue to vote for becsuse they have no choice

Come on, let's not go down that road. I'm pretty sure there's plenty out there. I've heard it on CNN before. I could ask the same of you and links to your post. We both know this crap is said of each party.

So, the real question is, what are you going to do to reach out to them? They probably have more in common with you then you think. Hate is not something we need to embrace in order to move forward.

You're better than this. Stop blaming other people. Rise above it.

So no, you dont have a link of me saying that.

Let me ask you this: what are your suggestions that the average everyday lefty can do to reach out to the Rs? Rs cant even decide if Joe is a dimentia riddled pudding head or an evil mastermind destroying this country. How are dems supposed to reach out to the GOP, especially when a bulk of them think the 2020 election is not on the up and up.

Perhaps the Rs need to reach out first, and dispose of Trump and MAGA instead of putting people in power whose sole intention is owning the libs.

The constant appeal to dems from the righties on this board to fix their Trump problem, especially when theyve supported him since 2015 is absurd

Sorry, I meant the left-wing, not necessarily you.

I'm not going to lie, reaching out to them is hard at times. But just spend time figuring out what makes them tick. Whether you agree like it or not. They have a set of base values, God, Country and Family. In that order too. Don't f with those things and you're good. Right now, they feel the left have tried to destroy that. Don't tell them they are wrong about it. Just understand that's what makes them tick.

Truth is that things on the left have become very muddied. I used to know what made them tick. I really don't anymore. Well, I take that back, anything negative Trump. They used to be full of great progressive ideas. Not so much anymore.

So really Democracy is what has divided this country more than anything. I'm not even sure when it began. But in America 51% isn't supposed to rule the other 49%. It's like both parties want control. That's called democracy. It's what our founding fathers didn't want.

So, instead of saying that the other party is to blame because they don't understand we have to do it. Too bad if they don't want it. Get their ideas and work together.

my problem with the right is they use their their perceptions of what god wants to impose rules/laws on everybody else. Don’t fvck with anybody elses fsmily in the name of your god.

I think you listen to the rights description of what the left is. Prople glom onto the twitter left who posts their dsily outrages on tiktok/twitter. Im not about that noise because thst is distracting. There are still progressive ideas, but they are attacked as socialist.

I will leave you with this. Not sure how you can get any meaningful movement for people to come together outside of 11 minute kumbaya internet video snippets

Okay but why don’t we see liberals attacking him to have his gun taken away and arguing about it. The recent Perry shooting had a lot of pages arguing taking away guns, I want to see this debate continue in this thread. I want liberals arguing he needs his gun taken away, he’s done things in his past to lose his gun rights. I don’t think anyone in the Perry shooting did anything prior to lose their gun rights.
Why so obsessed with Hunter Biden?

Ohhh, I know this well. I was in the south during the early 90's. I know all about in your face stuff.

I have no social media except here. I listen to them when I'm out in public.

So, I will break this down.
1) God - the left has cut them down on this since I was born. So, when you are removing the term God from everything, they feel you are attacking them in general. Just like a Trans wanting to be who they are. They right attack them on that. So, we get this huge push shove thing.

2) Country - They are pissed about the border, sending money all the time to foreign countries, nonstop wars. You insult them when you open up the border. Many are ex-military and fell upset about it. Just like the left feels the country should be open to all. The right agrees but want to have a process to do it. IMO, this wouldn't be an issue if Trump hadn't campaigned on a wall. That set the left off. Not that the border wasn't always an issue.

3) Family - They don't like when the schoolteachers have a say in their children lives. I agree with that. The parents own that right. They want the schools to get back to teaching the 4 basics again. I know that ruffles feathers, but it's why they are so angered.

For them I will say this.
1) Stop getting in their face with God. Let them believe in who they want.

2) The left has always looked first for the peaceful solution to fixing a conflict. They think that money is what drives foreign policies.

3) They think your ways are old school and there are better solutions to a broader education. Which I agree with. Work with them to ensure that the 4's are covered and they are also getting a broad knowledge to build from.

I'm not sure we can get everything back to the way it once was. By that I mean 10% or less were on the far sides of the parties. Now it's closer to 33%. So, when 2/3rds of the people are polar opposite there's not much hope. We need politicians who can come in and govern as a republic and not a democracy. Not sure that can happen.

Just like a Trans wanting to be who they are. They right attack them on that. So, we get this huge push shove thing. I personally dont get upset if the word “God” is on some sort of thing. God can mean many things to many people. If i said i gad a god, i would consider it nature. In god i trust i guess

IMO, this wouldn't be an issue if Trump hadn't campaigned on a wall. That set the left off. Not that the border wasn't always an issue. Agree about spending money overseas and non stop wars. I dont think the left oversll wants it to be free for all. I think the border is one of those issues like sbortion. If the Rs get their way, it will be the dog finally catching the car. They love the cheap labor they get from it

I think this is overblown. I think for 99.9%of teachers, they do that stuff. Anytime one of the policticsl ads talked sbout schools indoctinsting children to hate america, i would turn to my 16 yo and ask “have you been indoctrinsted to hate america” and we chuckle. Theres no litter boxes in bathrooms. I dont think books should be removed from the library, but i think a parent should be able to contact a school and flag books so their kids can’t check them out. Id say what kids have sccess to on their phones is worse than what they will get in the library. Remember it was the right who were pushing to get those kids back to those same schools and teachers just a few years ago because they couldnt be involved with their children to help them with the online thing
For them I will say this.
1) Stop getting in their face with God. Let them believe in who they want.they csn believe in what they want. Its when they push those values onto others through legislation that i have a problem

I get that, but where they lose me is when they insist we have to abide by their definitions for each.

3) Family - They don't like when the schoolteachers have a say in their children lives

With respect, this is silly, Teachers by definition have a say in the lives of kids. They are their teachers and are heavily involved basically from ages 6-18. So many of the things posted about teachers grooming kids or not sticking to a subject are simply not true or in complete ignorance of how teaching works.

🤷 I know I wasn't happy with the teaching when I was raising my kids. But I also know that the kids these days aren't the most respectful. I also know that the grooming thing is small in % and blown way out of proportion. But many kids that graduate can barely read and write compared to 30 years ago. The no kids left behind act (thank you Bush) really didn't work. Kids know that they can do the bare minimum and get through. If I was in charge (which I have zero desire to be) it would be high on my priority list to get kids up to speed. In my line of work, I see the younger generations spelling and arithmetic, wow is all I got to say.

That's a different argument though.

Republicans are claiming that teachers are grooming their kids to be gay, trans, etc. (what the motive would be I've never heard explained), let kids use kitty litters in class. Many of the complaints I've seen on the board here and in the news come from parents who have no idea what goes on in their kids' classes; and most of the reported issues could be solved by a very simple solution - GET INVOLVED. help with homework, meet the teachers, attend conferences, read syllabi for classes, and so on.

Teaching also is perhaps a profession affected most by the change in technology, and when most teachers are aging out, that's the worst of both worlds imo. And frankly, we're all spoiled by things like the 10x things smartphones can do now that make it harder for kids especially to see why learning the basics for writing/math for example.

Agreed, it's not the norm with the grooming. I think I said that in my other post.

The parents today are crap. They aren't involved enough anymore. But the ones that are should be heard. I'm guessing you must teach or have taught (by your name) sorry if I'm assuming, but many of my friends that are heavily involved with their kids are either sending them to private schools or home schooling them.

I would love to hear more about what's really going on. It'd be nice to learn more. I'm just going on what I've been told by friends. My kids have been out of school for 14+ years now.

Used to teach, but it didn't work out. My sister, and two cousins are teachers tho.

There's absolutely nothing to prevent parents from being heard. I went to private school myself when I was a kid, so I have zero issues with parents choose that path for their kids as well - tho, I question whether the quality of teachers is all that much different from public schools. The difference as you noted is that parents are often more heavily involved; a product I assume that comes from at least partially from parents who have more directly invested due to the tuition they pay.

When I was still in the field, I worked full-time at a private school for a couple years, and subbed in CR/Waterloo areas so I was exposed to several different school districts, grade levels. I would take with a large grain of salt the stories your friends have said. Not to call them liars - but we've all seen too many instances of stories passed on by others, sometimes already 3rd hand at that point, or from unreliable narrators (kids), deep fakes, etc.

All I know is, the damn private schools seem to have pretty good sports teams.

Thanks for that 👍
