College Basketball Crown or NIT still possible?

No, the auto bids for The Crown. They have to go. There are two auto bids from the Big Ten, Big 12, and Big East. The other ten spots are at-large. From what I've found since the conferences signed an agreement with Fox, the auto bids have to go. They can't opt out.

I’ve read that it has been indicated that any team from the Big East, Big 12, and B1G selected to play in the CBC are required to play. Not just the two AQs. I’m not sure what the protocol would be if there are coaching changes and/or mass transfers?

Or does it mean, if they’re selected for both the CBC and NIT, they can’t choose to play in the NIT?

What happens if half there team enters the portal? Im sure there is a contract but lets say Nebraska has 5 portal entries and the 2 good Seniors decide its time to get ready for the draft. I think I heard they have to have a mininum of 7 Scholarship players.

I believe the “requirement” is, if you’re selected and you’re going to play in postseason basketball, you’re playing in the CBC, not the NIT.

I doubt the conferences would go for a mandatory participation in a second tier tournament.

Here's hoping Iowa can beat OSU tonight, then upset Illinois tomorrow night, and a close loss to Maryland on Friday night.

Really want the Hawks to get a 1-seed in the Crown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
