Comprehensive Thread: It is NOT the drag queens and trans you need to be worried about...

Not sure if this church choir director was Trans or Drag Queen. Article doesn't mention that aspect.

Illinois Public Radio reports:

A Normal man was sentenced to 88 years in prison on Wednesday for criminal sexual assault of a minor and possession of child pornography. Michael D. Schneider worked as a staff member at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomington before his arrest in June 2021 on the felony charges.
The victim, now a college student, struggled through tears to read a four-page victim impact statement. Periods of depression, suicide attempts and self-harm were all part of the aftermath of the grooming and sexual assaults that started when she was about 14, she said.
The fact that the pornography depicted toddlers engaged in sexual acts with men, and Schneider blamed the victim “should be enough to lock him up and throw away the key,” said state’s attorney Erika Reynolds.
Peoria’s NBC affiliate reports:

Judge William Yoder called the more than 100 videos and images of child porn found on a thumb drive in Michael Schneider’s home “repugnant beyond belief.” Illinois law dictates each individual piece of porn carries its own criminal charge. Schneider faced 130 charges in total, he pleaded guilty to 15. He was sentenced to four years per charge, totaling 60 years.
Authorities confirmed Schnieder, 35, was also a choir director at Bloomington’s St. John’s Lutheran Church. Several of the supporters in attendance bore the ashy cross marking the first day of Lent. Forty individuals wrote letters to Yoder in support of Schneider, asking for a lighter sentence or the possibility of parole.
The mother described the grooming behavior Schneider used on her daughter that she learned of only after the fact. She described him taking her to buy lingerie and sex toys for the girl.

Only 3-4 years for CHILD RAPE?

MA Youth Pastor Sentenced To 3-4 Years For Child Rape

The Salem News reports:

The vulnerable teens were steered toward a local United Methodist Church — and into the path of a lay pastor, a man who, though not ordained, had been given a type of license by the church to work as a youth minister.
On Thursday, Russell Woodman Davis, 70, pleaded guilty to raping and attempting to rape the three boys at various times between 1988 and 2006, in Newbury, Rowley and Salisbury.
Davis was sentenced to three to four years in state prison, a sentence that Salem Superior Court Judge Thomas Drechsler had offered if Davis opted to plead guilty before his trial, which had been scheduled for next week.

Prosecutors had sought a much longer sentence prior to the plea deal agreement and some other charges were dropped due to the statute of limitations. A lawyer for one of the victims noted that while the sentence seems short, Davis will do hard time at a Supermax prison “where they send the really bad people.” No mugshot appears to be available.

While the GQP's have their eye on the drag queen false flag, the pastors are... well... you know. It does seem like Texas has a problem with their pastors.

CA Youth Pastor Gets 12 Years For Child Sexual Assault

The Orange County Register reports:

A 60-year-old former Santa Ana church youth pastor pleaded guilty and was immediately sentenced Friday to 12 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl. The victim came forward to police in October 2018 and said Jonathan Lamont Jenkins started making “sexual advances toward her” in January 2018, according to police.
She was at a service at Starlight Baptist Church in March 2018 when she went to the bathroom, where Jenkins was waiting for her. The girl tried to get away, but he locked the door, choked her and physically restrained her while he sexually assaulted her, police said.
The girl did not tell anyone and continued going to the church, police said, but on Aug. 5, 2018, Jenkins mocked her about the sexual assault and warned her not to tell anyone or he would claim the sex was consensual. Jenkins, of Riverside, pleaded guilty to a felony count of continuous sexual abuse of a child.

As a Church Going Christian, all these stories break my heart, but it’s important work you’re doing @NoleATL

Why would they need to do this? Shouldn't it be reported?

Catholic officials seek loophole in WA bills on child abuse reporting

Can't forgive all sins in confession. If they have to turnaround and report the confessors :).

I just don’t like the hypocrisy of attacking one group to protect the children when that group is not sexually assaulting children and the attackers have real issues in their own house.
Isn't that kind of what you're doing in this thread? I mean the very title suggests exactly that? My question is, why not both?
Is this okay?

Evangelical Pastor Daniel Merrick Charged with Possessing Child Pornography, Blames Wife for His Crimes

Merrick told law enforcement that he had an “addiction,” and only started looking at child porn because his wife wouldn’t have sex with him. Merrick called his “addiction” a curiosity.

From his now probably deleted Twitter account:
"Host of Faith Radio, #MEGAMAGA, #pureblood, Trickle Down Economics, "I have it on good authority that all democrats go to the lake of fire"

File this one in the church coverup file:

Bellevue pastor admits withholding abuse report from authorities

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - An independent investigation commissioned by the Southern Baptist Convention, the largest Protestant denomination in America, showed that sexual abuse allegations were ignored or covered up by church elders for nearly 20 years.

That scathing report named Steve Gaines, the senior pastor at Bellevue Baptist Church, as one of the SBC leaders who “protected or even supported abusers.”

"Steve Gaines as SBC President conveyed the message that a clergy sex abuse cover-up was considered 'no big deal'". Gaines waited 6 months before reporting that one of his ministers, Paul Williams, had sexually abused his own son.
