Congrats ISU

Did Lanning do damage mainly passing or dual?
Hope this is a new thing for them in losing to Iowa and then beating some other decent teams.

Lanning is their middle linebacker, former QB. He didn't play QB today. Kempt played at QB.

I'm still stunned a little, and in disbelief.

Up in Cedar Falls today for UNI game with family (wife is UNI alum). Ended up at OP and watched last 1.5 qtrs. The entire place was cheering for ISU. Afterwards, I was chatting with a UNI fan. His words, not mine: "Iowa State would do pretty well in the Big 10 West". I laughed and quietly agreed.

I love how they planted the state flag of Iowa at OU midfield. Pretty cool.

As a Cyclone fan, I remain cautiously optimistic. Will savor this win for quite a while. There is no question Campbell has them heading in right direction. Time will tell.

My bad, I didn't watch that game at all and was under the impression that Lanning was back as starting QB and actually went both ways.

He did play QB today some plus had 8 tackles. Something like 35 yards rushing and completed 3 or 4 completed passes

Was at Kinnick and just got home. Didn't know Lanning was in at QB some. Wow, I am actually happy for the Clones, one over their biggest wins ever. Congrats to them. LOL at Oklahoma!

He took several snaps at QB today
Lanning was 2-3 passing and rushed for about 35 yards, picked up a couple of key first downs. He also ha 8 tackles, a sack, and recovered the fumble that changed tge game. OU was leading 24-10 and threatening to score inside the 10. Lanning recovered the fumble & ISU drove 94 yards for a TD.

That is amazing. Congrats to the clones for the big win.

Expect a call from my little brother in 3 - 2 - 1...(he is the Head Equipment Manger for Iowa State sports).

Actually the score was 16-24 when OU fumbled. Iowa State then drove the ball 94 yards, added the 2 point conversion to tie the game at 24-24.

Lanning and walk on quarterback Kempt are Big XII players of the week probably partly from their holding Oklahoma to 7 points in the second half.

The Cyclone team was the national team of the week by the Football Writers Association of America.

Lanning also was named the Walter Camp National Defensive player of the week for last week.

Hope the Cyclones and the Hawks have some exciting games remaining.

I'm kind of joking but wouldn't it be something if Kansas would happen to come in and knock ISU off this week
