Kinda proves that the coaching staff was on to something with QB controversy. I do think CJB is better and if stays healthy will get drafted higher. However, turns out that JR was pretty darn good after all. Other than Stanzi what other Iowa QB has been drafted? It turns out Iowa had 2 QB's on one team that will get drafted

Unfortunately, he's unlikely to stick on an NFL roster. Weak arms with inconsistent accuracy doesn't cut it in the NFL. Career development player at best but great he got drafted!

Good for him but bad pick by the Lions. Rudock is not an NFL quarterback. Playing for Harbaugh definitely helped his draft stock.

Long and Vlasic were both drafted probably one year apart.Didn't look it up but would not be surprised if the following QB's were drafted - Duncan, 2 Hartliebs, Rodgers.
I bet he ends up with a similar NFL career as Stanzi, non the less he just got 50K just for being drafted and its not like QB's are drafted just to be drafted. Last year only 7 QB's were drafted.....some of you need to get over it, JR had nothing but good things to say about Iowa and was always a class act. I for one and happy for the young man, not to mention the fact we was taking classes that I can't even pronounce.

Ya know we shouldn't even be having conversations with people that believe they know more than the people in the NFL making these decisions. Apparently we have arm chair quarterbacks that believe they are in the know. I really hate to break it to them ......but they are rather stupid to even remotely think they are smarter than those NFL people. Bottom line ......he was drafted because he was the next best QB in the draft. If it wasn't Detroit it would have been someone else.
