Agreed. It’s a really simple step everyone can do if they want things getting “closer to normal.”
If this country had it's shit together everyone would be provided with a mask. Instead we wear last years cut up shirt your kids gave you for Christmas.
Totally support this. I just hope the don't let poor people purchase memberships.

No. Why would they have to? The American Red Cross does though when you donate. Go there first if you can’t come up with one on your own.
Cotton masks which provide zero protection for you or anyone else around you. Pointless virtue signaling wearing one of those.
Then again, N95 and surgical masks should be reserved for healthcare workers who need that critical PPE equipment that is in a shortage. So I don't think the general public should be using that equipment.
That is why the CDC did an about face in its instructions about cloth masks, originally saying they are worthless, to now recommending them for the general public. Two fold purpose. One, give the public a (false) sense of security. Two, keep the general pubic from buying up all the real PPE equipment by telling them cloth is OK.
I was there this morning during senior hour and only one person out of 100 or so I was wasn’t wearing one. This is going to become more the norm.
There are scanners that can read peoples temps as they enter any building, I believe these were first revealed in the Predator movies.
No. Masks are worthless to protect yourself, as you'll still inhale particles coughed out by someone else.
Masks actually reduce the exhaled particles quite a bit, lowering risk for others around you, provided you're covering your mouth and nose with them. They lower the risks of you infecting others.
No question the CDC wants to save N95 for healthcare workers, but a properly fitted cloth mask should stop most virus carrying droplets expelled by the wearer.

Disney is going to use these as well. Right now, it’s for Cast Members but I think it’ll be for everyone before they enter the parks.
Costco is just gearing up for an outdoor kiosk to sell you a 100-pack of regular masks for $29.95 that you can purchase to get into the store......
That's not the original information put out by the CDC. They changed their story. Now, rightfully so as actual PPE should be reserved for health care workers as it is sorely needed.
Don't care what CDC "put out" as a story.
The fact remains: masks will not protect YOU from viral particles in the air, unless it's an N95 mask.
Masks DO protect those around you if YOU are infectious and shedding/exhaling viral particles. Not 100% protection, but better than no mask.
So you believe their story now but not their original story. Interesting. Kind of selective, don't you think?
Kind of throws a wrench into facial recognition efforts, doesn't it?
There will probably be an immediate increase in shoplifting and other crimes.
Soon after, there will be some other government scheme, like having to wear a visible ID that can be scanned.
In addition to Americans burying loved ones, the country is paying people to stay home and helping businesses but you can’t seem to find a piece of cloth on your own? Good lord.
