I can't stand that fool. He shouldn't be allowed to do il gamesWhat an Illinois cheerleader Bardo was tonight.
On and on about why Illinois is in 1st place. They scored 59. Won by 3.
Survived at best.

Hater, lol…Illinois is the 4th best team in the league at best.
Bardo: "flyin illini...Lou Henson ...".
Cool 35 year old story, bro.
The metrics don’t agree and this team hasn’t had its full squad for any continuous period yet….Illinois is the 4th best team in the league at best.

Not really. It is interesting to watch an Ilinois game though. Some of the ticky tack fouls they call. Then you watch Kofi and his bull in a china shop routine on the low block. Yes I realize that guys are pushing back at him, but good lord what else can you do with the guy. He turns that shoulder and literally moves you back five or six feet. regardless of how he's defended he displaces people defending him even when their simply vertical. You really have no chance to defend the guy without fouling him and by rule most of the contact is an offensive foul.Hater, lol…

Spot on post So sick of the offensive guy lowering his shoulder in the post and knocking the defensive guy back so he can get an easy bucket. That is football not bballWhether it's Kofi or Keegan or whoever, when a defender has established himself on the floor, if he's physically moved off that spot by the guy with the ball, it's on offensive foul every single time, yet it is almost never called. That rugby play, along with players traveling and carrying the ball, are two of the worst things to happen to basketball in recent years. Both are contrary to both the letter and spirit of the rules and, to be candid, both are just plain bullshit. Those moves have no place in a game designed to be about quickness and finesse, not brute strength and ball carrying.
It's maddening to see somebody called for brushing an opponent 40-feet from the basket while Kofi and others literally bull their way to the basket dozens of times a game without getting whistled. It's beyond frustrating to see guys carry the ball, even tuck it in like a football, and run around the court without being called for it.
And I'm so sick and tired of announcers talking about how some players need to get into the weight room and get stronger in order to be more effective on the court. Strength is not supposed to be a significant factor in basketball. And it wasn't for most of the history of the game.
If I wanna watch rugby or football, I have plenty of opportunities, but it's all but impossible to see a real basketball game anymore without digging into the archives from 20 or 30 years ago. And, IMHO, that's one helluva shame.
People can b1tch about Fran, and there's plenty of good reasons to BUT if we had good refs we are near the top of the standings!Whether it's Kofi or Keegan or whoever, when a defender has established himself on the floor, if he's physically moved off that spot by the guy with the ball, it's on offensive foul every single time, yet it is almost never called.
