Cheatle, who left the Secret Service in 2021 for a job as a security executive at PepsiCo, takes the reins as multiple congressional committees and the Department of Homeland Security's internal watchdog are investigating the missing text messages, which the Secret Service has said were purged during a technology transition.

I don't know if any of the Secret Service agents in question were DEI hires, nor do I much care. What gets me about the left here is that they'll often speak out loudly when police injustice occurs. We need to sweep out our police departments! We need better training! We need new policies, yada, yada, yada. Ok, fine. Where does DEI fit into that? How can the left demand for the things I just mentioned when they're also willing to hire people who may not be the best applicant(s) for available law enforcement jobs? Well, the military, law enforcement, and business are stuck with shit if that's the case.

Personally, in, I my career I worked with, under, for, and supervised minority and females and didn't and couldn't differentiate by race or gender. Treating people respectfully is a trait most learn to maneuver in the world. Some don't and never could.

A congressional hearing should have been held after the Secret Service has conducted internal investigations. What good does it do to hold them accountable when they haven't found themselves accountable internally. It was an unnecessary and fruitless effort.
