I never heard that so I'm not sureShortly after the Foster hire, it was announced just the opposite: Foster TEs, Ferentz still RBs. Was that a mistake in the announcement, or is today's revelation new?

Jury is out on both of these fronts, we will see if the RB develop under his tutelage and we will find out next year what kind of recruiting connections he has,It's a smart move ... both in terms of recruiting ... and in terms of development at both spots. Being a former C and having all his prior experience, Brian may have been able to help players know where to expect their blocks to develop. However, he simply didn't have a lot of specific experience when it came to teaching the RBs the "tricks of the trade." Given that Foster has coached RBs before (in addition to WRs) ... he'll likely be able to address the more technique oriented questions that the RB throw his way.
Obviously, Brian has the past experience with the TEs too ... that's more of a natural fit for him.
