Fair enough, but nothing about the man's life tells us he'll do that.
If I was to wager on it I'll say Jack Smith's 1/6 trial squeaks in under the election wire. I suppose the SCOTUS will say Trump can pardon himself, but the Georgia case is pretty solid. Not a lawyer, but lots of guilty pleas so far. Manhattan is over charging, but I'll bet he gets convicted.
Since this is the internet, and speculation is part of it, he is not going to go without a coup.
Quite pragmatic, actually.
Particularly Justices who have their pockets filled with cash from unknown "benefactors".

You say this on the same day that 4 Supreme Court justices went ahead and ignored the Supremacy Clause and the basic principles of Federalism?

And, remember, Desantis and others in the GOP are the ones who want to eliminate oversight and whisteblower protections.
This is precisely why; they are very good at grifting people, and want that gravy train on taxpayer dime to continue.
He's pretty much abandoned any pretense he's not MAGA, anymore.
Those dissents are fundamentally flawed, and exhibit how badly certain justices will twist the Constitution to get what they want. And half of those who dissented are very likely in the pocketbooks of uber-rich Americans, which is not something anyone should support.
What kills me about Aardvark is that he’s clearly smart and knows his craft. I can’t hold an intelligent legal conversation with him because it’s not my world.
But he’ll blindly blather about the SC being constitutional purists and non-activist, and then the 4 most conservative justices go ahead and do what they did yesterday.
Imagine if it were California ignoring the Supremacy Clause and having business before this court. What do you think the ruling would be? 9-0 without blinking an eye.
