DeSantis

We’re overcrowded. Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina are great and have good beaches.
The Alabama coast is really nice. Baldwin County is becoming a big draw for retirees.
Construction in Marco Island, Naples, Fort Myers, and north of FM is just going wild. Homes, condos, and retail just are not stopping from being built.
I see a developer out of FM just bought 20 acres near the Punta Gorda airport. I have never been there but Allegiant has a big resort nearby Charlotte and Punta Gorda.
Wolf Lodge is building a resort on the south side of Naples.
Modest homes are being bought and tore down to build more expensive homes.

I was in Marco last week getting things ready for hurricane season. We will probably go back mid July with grandkids.

Gov. Ron DeSantis announced June 10 the state budget for fiscal year 2024-25 will include a $1.25 billion teacher salary funding increase, an increase of more than $200 million from last year. For the 2023–24 school year, DeSantis said Florida’s average starting teacher pay was more than $48,000, and the average teacher salary exceeds $54,000. Since DeSantis became governor in 2019, he has invested more than $4 billion in teacher pay increases and has raised starting teacher pay by nearly $10,000. Thanks Ron!

Guess which states much of the Infrastructure bill and Inflation Reduction Act $$ are going to...

#ThanksBiden!!!!

Does the same apply to you with the USA and the president? Let me know when you're moving to another country.
Not the same. Ron is still playing with all of his marbles, like it or not. And he’s not impacting those who are trying to trash him when they don’t live here. Unless you’re a sad loner who is linking articles 24/7?

Neither Joe or Donald have all of their marbles left.

By the way, shouldn’t you be busy helping your party come up with a gubernatorial candidate who can get the popular vote?

That's some twisted justification there

Hmm. So in other words you got nuthin’
You have nothing but "if you don't support my guy, you can leave." You must support DeSantis regardless of the fact he keeps pushing and signing bills that are found to be unconstitutional. Regardless of the fact he has costs Floridians millions of dollars in legal fees fighting these losing battles. Regardless of the fact he regularly uses his powers and the state to go after anyone who speaks out against him. Regardless of the fact he went back on his word and signed the 6-week abortion ban. Regardless of the fact that he has thrown his full support behind Trump to the degree he vowed to use his powers as governor to circumvent the law to remove the restrictions placed on anyone else who has 34 felony convictions. Yeah, that's your man.

But Biden is old. So, are you looking at Europe? Central America.

The TRUTH is that the Governor has declared a state of emergency in SoFla and activated the State National Guard to help as needed. He’s also authorized that the counties covered can access funds as needed through the Emergency Funds.
The basement loser needs to be a bit more truthful and maybe even stop sourcing losers like Nikki Fried.

I have no idea what Hannity is doing or who he is allegedly “fluffing” since I haven’t watched or listened to him in at least 10 years.
Apparently the leftist loons now prop up his ratings?

Shouldn’t you be spending more time trying to find a Democrat who can win a majority statewide?
Not just among the Dade/Broward/Palm Beach crowd who turn the rest of the state off when they open their mouth and the Bronx flies out?

So you’re saying he shouldn’t have bothered?
Which SoFla Democrats or inner city Dems proposed higher raises?
What was also a win for Florida was that he was able to channel the money directly to teacher pay and not allow it to be siphoned off for Admin or Union or any bureaucracy cost increases.
He also got through significant increases for
Mental health funding in schools as well as funding of increased school security measures.
This year’s Budget is a good one for education in our state.

50th!!!!???

This is like Troy scoring that garbage TD against 'Bama late in the 4th qtr, only to still lose the game 84-7.....
Then claiming it as a "4th quarter win!!"

Every ultra lefty X person is foaming at the mouth about DeSantis 24/7.
“We don’t have ANYBODY” who can win the Governorship but never mind that.

Florida is still 50th in teacher pay. So maybe he should have done more. If you don't know Florida is having a hard time recruiting and keeping teachers.
