I hope we can all agree that his veto of the left lane lounger bill is criminal.
I learned just now that Governor DeSantis is the actual person who wrote the words “slaves learned valuable life skills”.

LOL - in this thread - which should be retitled “Disgruntled Florida Democrats and uninformed Iowans comment here” - the amount of frustrated commentary, quoting Twitter/X leftists from SoFla is amusing and yet at the same time actually sorta sad.
Ron Filipkowski and Thomas Kennedy - along with others who shill for the poor excuse of a Florida Democrat party apparatus - churn out swill hoping that loser basement dwellers will “re-tweet” the twisted half truths they’re selling.
No mention, you’ll note, of the signing last week of a bill providing a major increase in research of childhood cancers in Florida. Yeah, the Legislature did that too and yeah the Guv signed it at a ceremony in Miami.
The left lane woes in FL continue and if FDOT - the WORST state agency - would effectively address highways which should have been four and six lane in each direction years ago - but they live in the past while our State continues to encourage people from other states to retire here. Old men who insist on being left lane drivers. Go away! Stop moving here!

The “billboard lawyers” are coming hard after legislators who pushed for insurance reform. Ads on local TV are trashing anyone in the Leg who tried to get reforms passed. Some of their targets are definitely conservatives who want to limit the ambulance chasers suing for the smallest fender benders. John (Captain) Morgan is a super Democrat and one of them. They have some front group behind the ads called “Truth Matters” which is funny.
The Dade County “funding” is being partially financed already by the Feds. You know for decades the South Florida Flood District kept a tight lid on water flow vs development because of the Glades on the west and the Atlantic Ocean on the east. I guess after Andrew flooded South Miami despite that they must have just thrown in the towel?
