The Governor has access to a golf simulator installed in the Governor’s Mansion OMG
What’s next - he has access to the toilets?
Maybe the guy with the Cuban accent can get on a waiting list to take a 💩 in the Official Residence too! Is Ron gonna uninstall this glorified putting green and set it up in a garage at his post-term house somewhere?
Is the guy speaking a recent refugee, by the way? Why does he have an accent? Hmm. Maybe Puerto Rican and in that case my apologies.
Who’s funding his activities so that he doesn’t have to have a real job?
Maybe Jason Garcia can enlighten us - after all he’s been here - wow - twenty years! Has he bothered applying for citizenship I wonder? Shouldn’t be a big reach for a Canadian citizen like him, after all.

Florida has been a magnet for developers since it rose up out of receding waters thousands upon thousands of years ago. Miami Beach was dredged up out of mangrove swamps in Biscayne Bay by Carl Fisher using his fortune gained from his early collaboration with General Motors. Davis Island in Tampa is an artificial mound of land dredged up out of Tampa Bay. Hamilton Disston from Philadelphia tried to dredge up and dry out the Everglades. How’d that work out?

Local city and county officials have the final say on thousands of new homes that get built in our state every year so that people can move here to retire and play golf. I wish it would stop but it’s gone on for a hundred years and environmentally sound planning packed up and left a hundred years ago too.
I sit on a local Committee for Jacksonville (CPAC = Citizens Planning and Advisory Committee) and we were visited a few months ago by an attorney representing the “interests” of two very old and prominent local families who are now selling off large parcels of land to developers who will add almost 7,000 new homes in the next decade. Our group was making noise and asking too many questions about who pays for the new infrastructure and roads so I guess he felt like he needed to go beyond the usual rubber stamp he gets from the city/county and soothe the citizens with “torches and pitchforks” who are tired of the inadequate roads built in and out of new areas.
This ain’t a sellout by the current Governor. It’s been going on a long long time.
Sell your 💩💩💩 somewhere else.

Every time I read this it’s like the sound of a baby crying in my head… it’s almost enough to make me reconsider my pro life stance.

In retrospect, your support for DieSantos, which morphed to Halley was poor judgement. Ronnie, a Freedom Caucus fruitcake is an overt authoritarian as his record as Governor reveals.

The right-wing playbook is to indoctrinate the population with hot button issues. Religion, Morality. Issues nearly impossible to challenge, targeting the simplest minded. The South and Red states are prime meat. The political model is enough to alert knowledgeable voters.

How fascinating. So no one in the Midwest is religious or goes to church…

Not surprising response. Church attendance and exploiting religion. Hhmm.

I'd think even Floridians could sort that out.

I’m sooo glad you have that opinion. You won’t ever move here.

Not true at all. It's impossible to get away from shithead politicians. We moved from Maryland to Iowa in our retirement to help take care of our (older) aging parents to find our native state surrendered to the right-wing shit.

Iowa was once an educated, progressive state. It's now a cesspool. It will change, though not in our lifetime. Concentrations of intelligent residents live in college, metro and urban areas.

The remaining lives in rural, smaller towns and cities. The Red area.

It's amazing to witness how much you enjoy being a garbage human being.
It’s amusing and not at all shocking for you to think that it’s not the parents who first and foremost be responsible for caring for children they chose to bring into the world.
Did your parents feed you?

Yeppers..only need to look at data regarding the "least educated" States which is DOMINATED by areas south of the Mason Dixon line.

So Iowans are supposedly a fairly literate group, yet Iowa is blood red. Hmm. 🤔

I.....didn't know thit but am not surprised.
I’m sure you’re not.
Being easily misled leads to believing anything the small time little lefties who think they’re journalists on X feed to the other GenZ types.

12.7% of Florida families live below the poverty line. Should we just let the children go hungry because the parents can't afford to feed them regularly?

Better they die and decrease the surplus population, right?
