Dez King ?

I know this is way early to ask but this is a question that is starting to bug me already.

After the HAWKEYES win their bowl game (Rose?) will King announce he is going to come back to IC for 1 more year or will he declare he's going pro?

I'm praying he comes back for his senior year and helps the HAWKS to win a NC.

I believe a player can ask the NFL to render an opinion of where that player might be taken in the draft? If so, I hope DK does that before he makes his decision.

Not sure about draft stock...but it definitely went up after last night. Didn't have any picks, but played his best game of the year. Dez was all over the field.

Think the chances he comes back are between slim and none. Regardless of whether he's projected in the 2nd or 3rd, another year isn't going to change anything. When you are leading the country in picks, racking up honors, your star isn't gonna shine any brighter down the line. Strike while you're hot.

He should come back so we can win a national title. I know fans of other teams probably don't want that though, so obviously they'll be in favor of him leaving...................

One thing I thought was interesting was when the B1G asked fellow coaches about who would win the championship game. One coach mentioned speficially mentioned something along the lines of "King is good, not great". Came off as extremely bitter and pissy

I think the coach that was talking about Iowa was Mike Locksley. That being said, Desmond King is great. He can do it all at corner. He will be a really good pro and Mark Dominik a former NFL GM tweeted about how impressed he was with King last night.

Just saw on Twitter, Matt Miller @nfldraftscout said that he doesn't expect King to come out. He said he gave him a late first/early second round grade on him but does not expect him to leave.

Seems to me he fits the mold of an NFL ball-hawking safety moreso than an NFL corner...semi-baseless and unabashed opinion, but similar to Hyde. As to the topic at hand...I think he goes if projected 3rd round or higher.

I think part of his decision will be what NFL people say and I really believe Drew Otts status will help him decide too.

I get giddy thinking about having then both returning.

I don't think he will go first round but I could see as high as 2nd round. It would be a huge win for Iowa to get him back for next year. Then if a miracle happens and they get Ott back as well, that defense would be top 5 next year. But I am not going to get greedy. If one of them is back it is a huge plus.
