Did anyone hear what happened with Cmac and the Indiana bench right before halftime? SIAP

He was whining about the TO he had to call. It was Connor's fault anyway.

I didn't see it as anything to do with IU

Biggest issue was no announcers in arena to tell viewers WTF happened

That is definitely a case where announcers in arena would help. Just looking at the video, it appears Conor notices Woodson talking to the ref after horn has sounded. About what, none of us know. Maybe he asked him if he's ever had Wig And Pen pizza?
Not uncommon for a coach to try and get in a ref's ear about something they didn't like at halftime that they don't want to continue in the second half. I'm not sure where Conor thinks it's his place to go get involved in that conversation, unless they are talking about him specifically (no idea if they were).

Basically if you are pre-disposed to think of CMac as a good/valuable player, you think he's "showing toughness" or whatever. I'm not sure how getting into a scrum with the Indiana bench for no discernable reason is toughness, but to each their own.
And to those who don't like what CMac brings to the floor when he plays, it confirms their priors.

For what it's worth, Raftery said that he '...saw Mike pointing something out about Connor and then he went over to him.' In this case, 'he' was Connor and 'him' was Woodson. I'm not sure how Bill R knew this, so take it with a grain of salt.

Raftery is old and needs to retire.

I'd like to get KF's honest opinion on how the McCafferys conduct themselves, I'm guessing Kirk would have booted CMac years ago. Luckily for Connor he has light skin, no corn rows, and doesn't play for the other team or he'd probably be getting called "thug" instead of "tough" by many on this board
That’s pretty racist if you

You don't think that there are firey coaches and kids on the football team? LOL!

Which black players on our team have we called thugs?

Losers like you will reach for anything. Connor has never been in trouble and is an A student in the classroom. A lot of people in society could benefit from following his example.

After reading the bolded sentence above, which program & coach is currently being sued for racism? The very one that blhawk erroneously holds up as the defining morale high ground. After reading the bolded , I will say with certainty that blhawk doesn't factually know KF's honest opinion on anything.

NOTE: I am not saying or implying that KF or the football program are racist; rather I believe the opposite. I'm just pointing out how uniformed blhawk is about what has and is transpiring currently in the courts with Iowa athletics.

You are the biggest idiot on this board

START AT 12:43 MARK

This shows pretty clearly what happened right before the skirmish. At 12:40 Iowa is dribbling down to run the clock out right before half. Connor is trying to get into his spot on the floor just so he can stand and bleed clock for 10 seconds. Indiana's #12 is jamming him up and grabbing his arm. Not a huge deal but a little unecessary. Mccaffery is visibly annoyed and throws a little arm shield up between #12 (not taking any crap, fine by me). Iowa misses, time runs out, Iowa players start walking to the locker room.

Mike Woodson then is talking to a ref about 5 feet in front of Connor. Connor is minding his own business, and as he walks past Woodson, Woodson points a finger straight at Connor, bitches at the ref, and continues to point for a while. Connor obviously didnt appreciate that and said some words back. (If Fran had pointed and bitched at an opposing player like that he would be ABSOLUTELY CRUCIFIED)

Personally, I'm fine with Connor not backing down. We have had a problem up to this point of being out physicalled down low and on the boards, so I like Connor showing some toughness. I think it rubbed off on the team in the second half.

P.S. Iowa does its fair share of complaining about refs. But I have never seen a team like Indiana get so many favorable calls on the road and still constantly complain

Assumptions abound.

😍 how the Hoosier players all of a sudden decided to check themselves once JO came over to say hello.

The IU player that shoved CMac had an ‘oh shit’ reaction when he looked up to see Ogundele standing there.

Credit Josh O to be Johnny on the spot having his teammate’s back.

Also pay close attention to Referee Edwin Young’s reaction to this. If you didn’t know better by his referee outfit, you’d think he was part of the IU coaching staff. Seemed quite impartial here 🙄.

Kirk is known for his demanding and high expectations of Brian.
