i'd agree the question itself (like almost all the questions i heard) were more about grandstanding and trying to get a cable news/social media clip

but i do think the answer to these questions are important if you're interested in an AG that is independent of the president (that whole "let's get politics out of the DOJ" thing)

when you have a candidate that dropped an investigation immediately after a campaign donation and that now won't publicly refute one of that same persons ongoing lies/mischaracterizations...i think its fair to wonder how independent this AG will be

of course...if you aren't actually interested in an independent AG...and what you really want is an AG that just plays for your team...then i'm sure you see nothing wrong with any of this
100% agree. The question was asked to see where her priorities are. If appointed, she will work for the people and not the president. She demonstrated as the AG of Florida that she's not willing to go against Trump’s wants. She confirmed with her answer she will not have the courage and integrity to do it in the future.

I'm no different. As you go further left, it looks like I'm further right.

I do admit to an occasional troll post, because you leftists are so easy to rile. That's mostly for my own entertainment.

I have no affinity for Republicans either, I dislike the spending all of them do, and the waste both sides create. However, in recent years one party has chosen to embrace common sense, while the other has run from it in the interest of promoting ideas and issues that simply don't matter.

That's why the Rs are going to control everything for a couple years while Ds are in timeout. Ds will either figure out how to function like normal humans, or they'll be told to stay in their room a little longer in 2026.
It's amazing how difficult this is for people to grasp. Well said.

This was actually a question the transition people asked about as they’ve been vetting people for appointments.
That’s why I posted this, and why I offered the second, non-responsive choice. How far gone do you have to be to not be able to simply answer, “yes?”

No, ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer. Play stupid games win stupid prizes...

Everyone knows Joe Biden won the 2020 election, but Dems going to this talking point like it's a big gotcha...She was wise to let the senator think she won, it was obvious that senator was only interested in throwing accusations anyway, she wasn't interested in a conversation. She wanted to grandstand.

Don't forget, that senator's vote doesn't matter.

It was not a trick question. Answer “yes” and the talking point goes away.

But she couldn’t do that.

She did an excellent troll job with that answer.

Her answer or opinion doesn't matter in the least, yet she knew she could really light the Dems hair on fire by not answering "Biden won the 2020 election." She took full advantage. It was one of the more entertaining moments in the short bit of the hearing I caught.

The funniest thing is that this is all in subservience to Donald Trump, of all people. A spoiled, fat, big city, trust fund baby, ungodly, Ivy League, coastal elitist.

Almost all of the traits, themes, stereotypes that rural people used to hold in contempt. Yet, he tickled their grievances so they'll believe anything, swallow anything that is required.

Cults be like that.

Bondi's failure to acknowledge that Biden won the 2020 election and Trump lost should disqualify her from becoming AG. Sixty state challenges validated Biden's win along with acknowledgement from Trump's own campaign legal counsel and White House legal counsel along with Trump's own AG, Bill Barr. Trump himself acknowledged his loss yet perpetuated his Big Lie to his gullible base for four years. Based on the above, Bondi knew full well that Trump lost yet continued to deny Biden's win for the sole purpose of remaining in Trump's favor. Her refusal yesterday to acknowledge Trump's loss clearly demonstrates that as AG she will still remain indebted to Trump and casts serious doubt on her ability to act independently from the White House.

Suppressed? Where the heck have you been? The problem was it lacked any substance. Still does.
It’s been established that before the 2020 election, mainstream media and social media were instructed to not run with the Biden laptop story. Regardless, of its substance, that is what happened. I’ve seen reports that if the laptop story had been in the news, 1 of 6 people who voted for Biden likely wouldn’t have.

who did this "instructing"?

trump's DOJ?

or do you mean the letter that was written by former (ie. private citizens no longer at their respective agencies) intelligence officials?
