It would be. At least then people using them for sure would have earned them.Totally. Would have been way better if the options were:
Yes - but you have to fish them out of Pelosi’s colon to use them or
No - but then you have to give Biden a rusty trombone.
The need for it only increases when we are subjected to minority rule by the oligarchs now as they cut it.We are the wealthiest country in the world, we shouldn't have any hungry or homeless.
You can believe what you want, but we laughed a lot about it.I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say we totally believe you.
We felt a little funny about it. The letting her pick things out was the no pics wife's idea. I decided to follow. And that gif is hilarious. It was more like Maxwell smart and agent 99.Pick of Farmboy on an average day to grocery store

Nope. It is not a sum zero equation. Maybe go back and repeat Econ 101.That's a neat feature of capitalism. For some to win, others have to lose. For some to win real big (billionaires) some people have to lose real big (homeless and hungry).
The cost is minimal compared to Trumps tax incentives for the oligarchs.
The thing is, the mom could very well have had a job. Many of the low wage jobs still qualify people for food stamps, especially if they have children. But instead of punishing corporations for paying wages that don't allow people to feed a family we want to punish the people working those jobs. This thread brings an incident to mind that I witnessed while waiting in line once at a Casey's. A woman with a couple kids purchased a number of food items with an EBT card. I only know this because she asked a question about the card as she was checking out. After that transaction, she then bought cigarillos and lottery tickets with cash. I'll admit, my first emotion was one of annoyance. It was an obvious abuse of the system, right? But, then I actually looked at these people. They looked disheveled from top to bottom. And I saw them walk out and get into a rusted out, damaged minivan with headlights almost dimmed to nothing by heavy oxidation. They clearly didn't have much. And who knows what "home" they were returning to. It was an interesting series of thoughts.

Fixing the border should help with homelessness. Might take a couple years, but the impact will be positive.Homelessness hit 770k this year, and it probably will to continue going up. It's an absolute failure of the government. They are more concerned with the money for the people with the most money above the welfare of it's citizens.
I have a friend who js a farmer and gets all sorts of free money from the govt. Every other year he goes on an alaskan hunt and next year he is going on a hunt in new zealand.. how does a guy on govt assistance afford to take these hunting trips that cost thousands of dollars?I get the "most", but if there are opportunities to catch/prevent misuse, we should have a responsibility to do that, so that a greater percentage of available funds are going to those that really need it.
The guys that stand outside of the grocery store offering to buy groceries using their EBT cards, in exchange for the cash, aren't trying to feed their families.
And tax refunds (money I earned, that was taken by the government, and given back to me) aren't the same as EBT payments (money I earned, that was taken by the government, and given to someone else).

It's logical

Of course it is. It's not the end all be all, but could certainly contribute. Makes perfect sense, just have to think past the surface a little. It's really not.
What do you mean "let's make this simple", our answers or what? I believe that in this super rich country which has all this ag food has 20% at least of kids that are food insecure, that people can't afford to feed themselves. It is sickening and already Trump and the Repub congress is talking about cutting SNAP and other programs to help people.Let’s make this simple.
He probably saw FreedomPatriot1452566 on tik tok talking about it.It's really not.
Exactly. No businesses will close because of lack of workers. I get you.Of course it is. It's not the end all be all, but could certainly contribute. Makes perfect sense, just have to think past the surface a little.
That is a stupid, unsympathetic answer as it is easy to tax the rich enough to transfer some of that tax money to people as tax credits/food credits, etc. So easy to solve but not enough guts to tax the rich. That's a neat feature of capitalism. For some to win, others have to lose. For some to win real big (billionaires) some people have to lose real big (homeless and hungry).
I mean, do you support government providing food stamps. Blanket promises and actions seem to be the theme of the day. What do you mean "let's make this simple", our answers or what? If you’re getting a tax refund, it’s your own money. This is such a tiresome argument. Most people with EBT just want to feed their families.
Do we tell you how to spend your tax refunds or government handouts during COVID? Nope. So stfu
I went to a Mexican Restaurant today for lunch. Half the staff was gone.
Good luck America. You are losing folks that do the work you don't want to do.
Oh shit I need to check in on Peppers, El Jalisco, and Don Melchor. I’ll be in the middle of the empty restaurant scream crying “is this what greatness looks like?”.
You met Kool Aid?So there I was. It was a Tuesday morning at Casey's. The lady and I were looking over some definitely Casey's pizza. Suddenly, we are knocked to the side by this round man in a red shirt. He grabbed all of the pizza and exclaimed Oh Yeah. Defeated we got in line behind him with a bag of Combos. The red shirt man busted out an EBT and said rack it up, he paid, and walked out.
After we paid in cash for a Combos we went outside. The red shirt man was revving his Cybertruck over his speakers. I thought this is ridiculous, let's talk him and see where he goes. He went to several high end stores and bought many high prices items.
Eventually he drove off to his neighborhood. We tried to keep fooling him but the armed guards protecting the neighborhood put up the spike strips so we had to leave. I was never able to determine how many television her had.
Taco Bell will survive you'll be okA lot of them are scared right now. They know that the feds are going to weaponize them.
I would wager my life on that DJT employs illegals at Mar-a-Lago
Yeah, a little, but you kind of helped me with my point. Imagine if the billionaires that lined up at Trumps inauguration yesterday donated as much money to help solve food insecurity as they did to get him in office. That is a stupid, unsympathetic answer as it is easy to tax the rich enough to transfer some of that tax money to people as tax credits/food credits, etc. So easy to solve but not enough guts to tax the rich.
Why? Food is food.Needs to have some limitations.
Franks and beans? Yes.
Steak and lobster? No.

Investing in Trump gets them richer, helping the country with hunger does not.
People be like "They need to use food stamps for nutritious foods and not junk food" and then people be like "Frank and beans and not steak and lobster!"
