other than being thrown out of the game with less than 30 seconds left? It was an aggressive classless move. Will the league take a look at this?

Dosunmu (and he's not alone) has proven himself on more than one occasion to be an immature and overly aggressive young man, to use the most positive description I can think of. It's too bad we only get to play them at their place this season, but it would be great to get the W on their home court. There's a decent chance that we'll see more of the same shenanigans in that game, as we did at CHA last season.

Doesn’t he have to miss the next game too?
Not automatically I don’t think. It could happen upon further review, but getting up in somebody’s face isn’t going to be worthy of any additional suspension in my opinion

Ran across the court and got in a PSU players face and bumped him when the PSU guy knocked his teammate down while attempting a steal as the guy was dribbling out the clock with a 16 point lead.

You'll see more violence in a Chess Tournament.
I thought he ran through the guy?

I HAVE seen more violence at a chess tournament. Played in tournaments when I was a kid, before I reached 14 and realized that any combination of two of the following: 1) gambling; 2) girls; 3) alcohol; and, 4) weed was more fun than chess. After one like 12/13 age group kid lost a couple of tables over from my game the loser threw his queen, well a queen I guess, right in the other kids face and cut the winners eyeball. The loser then climbed over the table and began throwing punches at the winner.

It was awesome good fun to watch, not so much for the kid whose eyeball got cut and face got punched no doubt, but nonetheless great fun for the rest of the nerd convention. Funnier than watching fat girls fight, and there are not many things funnier that fat girls fighting.

POTY.

Calm down ya drama queen.
WTF is wrong with you? What is with the disparaging remark? You can't be that much of an asshole can you? I guess you can. I forgot I was on an Iowa board. No explanation necessary. I asked a simple question because it wasn't just a simple chest bump. He had to be restrained by a referee and then by his teammates because he continued to pursue the other player after the whistle hence the second technical.

True, but his actions COULD have started something that had the potential to really get ugly. The Penn State player turned and walked away. Don’t think a player like Connor Mac would have taken it as well as he did.

He didn't throw a punch, just got a little over excited about his teammate hitting the floor after a steal attempt by a PSU player. I suspect this had been brewing during the game. Too bad it had to explode in the final seconds of the game.

BTW, PSU (20.5) and Illinois (19.9) lead the B1G in personal fouls per game. We are last at 14.8.

If Connor Mac was the guy that got knocked on his ass while harmlessly dribbling out the clock up by 16, Ayo would have had to go thru Connor Mac to get to Wheeler, of that I can assure you.

Curbelo kept his cool, when a lot of guys wouldn't have, so go ahead and commend him for that, because he had every right to be pissed.

The Penn State player "turned and walked away", AFTER he knocked a guy down who was dribbling out the clock versus trying to add on to a rout.

If WHEELER doesn't do what he did, nothing else happens. 100% on him.

Curbelo certainly did keep his cool. While I don’t recall that he got knocked on his ass there’s no doubt that at that point in the game Wheeler was playing some completely unnecessary over-aggressive defense. Yes, I guess I’d put most of it on Wheeler but I don’t think it was SO egregious for Ayo to step in the way he did. There may have been some smack talk going on during the game that added to it.

Agree 100%. I just don't like that SOME people are giving Wheeler a pass. This is all on him. Without his "foul", Ayo isn't in the conversation and we're just talking about how Illinois destroyed Penn State in the 2nd half.

I'm old school to the core, so pretty much opposed to flapping your jaws or flipping into end zones, because what comes around goes around, then shit like this happens.

Regardless, Ayo still made a decision and that was on him. Wheeler didn't get a pass. He got a technical foul ,too.

Jawing with another player is common. You giv him a T and play on
If jawing is all that is going on, you would be right. But Ayo ran across the floor and bumped the guy and then pressed his body against him and was backing him down. This was going on while whistles were blowing, refs were trying to get Ayo away, his teammates were trying to get Ayo away and Ayo was still pursuing the confrontation. This was not just some jawing.

Why does illinois always have a team full of scumbags? No matter the coach, that team has nothing but trash lacing them up.

Most Iowa comment ever. Your players talk plenty of trash, you just stereotype them as respectful Iowa competitors and ours as disrespectful thugs. Says more about your fans than our players.

What player, besides Alan Griffin, has been a thug?

Iowa players were squaring off with Illinois the final game of the season.

And the whole "I was fouled every play" quote was downright funny.

This fanbase seems to have a lot of racists.

GTFO with these comments. Go back to your own damn board. I don’t mind people from other fan bases coming on here but when they throw shit like this out here they need to go

Your players fouled just as much as ours and they squared off with ours yet only the black players are thugs.

Gee golly. I wonder what the lone difference is?

Not going to get into it with you - your comment was uncalled for. If you don’t like the fans from Iowa don’t come on the Iowa board

If you don't want Illinois fans coming onto your board don't repeatedly call our players thugs.

Sorry I'm not obligated to read that kind of trash and ignore it and I've read it several times on here.

Ok, your head coach brought a style of play that required intense d(with a lot of fouling). Your team fouls a lot. More than most.

That said, Wheeler was being a doosh, and had Iowa been in the same situation, Connor would for sure have done the same as Ayo.

And, apparently based on the election, we do have a lot of racists in Iowa. Sorry.

I actually really like the Iowa program and think you guys got a steal in Ahron Ulis (who I think will be a stud some day).

Alan Griffin was a punk and had some psycho stuff going on off the court. The rest of the rivalry, imo, is just a rivalry.

I've never seen Ayo get heated like that.

Trying to string together your timeline. If you only come over here after they are called thugs then how did you find out it occurred?

Do you really think people are making up posts where somebody called our team thugs after the very heated issues Griffin and Damonte had?

I mean it's a message board reflective of the most passionate but a small minority of fans but it most certainly happened. It is what it is.
Quote the one dude out of the 30,000 subscribers here then.

This is the childish equivalent of "name one time". I guess I'm just making it up even though I've conceded I think your team is legit and think most of your fanbase are good people just passionate like every fanbase.

Yes I came over here and saw thugs mentioned several times but sadly I don't write about that in my dear diary.

Well don't generalize an entire fan base. Its not uncommon for the village idiot to come out and post something stupid, there are plenty here. We also have people from all over the country many different teams posting here.
