Does Dosunmo face any other repercussions

I did not see the play, but I have seen quite a bit of Illannoy games the past couple of years and Ayo is NOT a dirty player. The only current player, who I have seen take some cheap shots is Giorgi. He likes to use his elbows.

If you don't want Illinois fans coming onto your board don't repeatedly call our players thugs.

Sorry I'm not obligated to read that kind of trash and ignore it and I've read it several times on here.
Thugs thugs thugs thugs....Take that :D :p

Didn't Underwood autograph a cardboard cutout of Fran in the student section after they beat us in Champaign last season?

Seems to be a good fit for that program.

It was francon poster. I think it was in good fun but that's coming from an Illinois fan. It was like 5 feet from Garzas father who was a very nice about the game.

As an Illinois fan itā€™s in good fun. Iowa fans probably donā€™t see it that way. Odd that two fan bases have different perspectives and they are highly influenced by whether their team wins or loses. The good news is there are message boards where you can go and voice your pseudo outrage on how one fan base feels about differently than you do. What a country.

Ran across the court and got in a PSU players face and bumped him when the PSU guy knocked his teammate down while attempting a steal as the guy was dribbling out the clock with a 16 point lead.

You'll see more violence in a Chess Tournament.
Nonsense. Have you ever been to a chess tournament?

Agree 100%. I just don't like that SOME people are giving Wheeler a pass. This is all on him. Without his "foul", Ayo isn't in the conversation and we're just talking about how Illinois destroyed Penn State in the 2nd half.

I'm old school to the core, so pretty much opposed to flapping your jaws or flipping into end zones, because what comes around goes around, then shit like this happens.
Sorry, the foul was on Wheeler. Any thing that happened after that was on Ayo. He did not need to, nor was he required to get involved after the fact.

What player, besides Alan Griffin, has been a thug?

Iowa players were squaring off with Illinois the final game of the season.

And the whole "I was fouled every play" quote was downright funny.

This fanbase seems to have a lot of racists.
Honest question, knowing that your coach skipped town after the scandal at Ok St, do you believe high profile recruits like Ayo, Kofi and Miller, who had the whoā€™s who of cheaters after them, came to Illinois without any impermissible benefits?

Illinois has never cheated for a recruit, just ask their fans.

Somehow, if they did to get any of those guys, it would be Pearl's fault.

I've seen Francon type of posters at probably a couple dozen Iowa road games but have only seen one time where the opposing coach signed one of them after the game.

Your players fouled just as much as ours and they squared off with ours yet only the black players are thugs.

Gee golly. I wonder what the lone difference is?
I wonder too. The whole claim that all Iowans are white racists is ridiculous. Our team is actually half white and half black, and I can assure you we love Joe T and Keegan as much as any other players on the team. I happens that many of our more veteran star players are white and many from Iowa. Now for some context. Maybe , just maybe our coaches, players, and fans are SICK of being pushed around in a league where the officials seem to allow public muggings at crucial parts of the game. We're all tired of watching the upper crust like MSU, and Wisconsin, and Purdue, grab, hold, push, and beat on our players while oficials basically let these teams do whatever they want while we basically just took our beatings. We ARE proud to have a team with some backbone and grit! A bunch of guys like Connor, Luka, Jbo, Joe T. and others who won't back down and won't be pushed around without giving as good as they get. Luka himself takes a beating nightly and stays above the fray for the most part, but he's not backing down from it either. Something else to consider, if your coach states plainly before the game that their plan is to BEAT on Luka any chance they get, you can imagine there may be some blowback. This is not supposed to be how the game is played regardless how are leagues officials have let it get to that. Underwood may also want to keep his assistants in check when they go after our head coach in OUR house after a hard fought game, in which by the way your players were doing EXACTLY the same thing that Ayo was throwing a fit about. We are dribbling out ending a victory while YOUR players were hacking and BEATING on CMac? Try reviewing then end of that mess, and show that to Ayo and ask him what the difference was and just what was the difference.
Your right though, we just don't like each other........

The assistant was getting kickbacks from agents for guiding them there.. That does no benefit to Brad Underwood and I daresay he would have fired him if he knew about it.

If the assistant was caught paying players to come there it changes things some for me but let's be honest what programs aren't paying players right now?

You think Luka didn't get some $ to return for a senior year? I guess Kansas and Kentucky fans, at least some, think they aren't paying players too. And Duke thinks Zion turned down hundreds of thousands at South Carolina to play for them for free.

Seriously? Your so far out on the ledge here. Now your making a statement that IOWA payed Luka to return, (when he wasn't going to get drafted by most experts) and comparing them to a group of KNOWN blue blood cheaters who have been paying players, AND winning championships with them for decades?? Seriously? I guess we should be flattered to be in such company.... o_O

I like that Iowa has been good enough the last couple seasons to stir the bad blood pot.

Underwood is a good coach. Ron Coleman is a little bitch though, what a whiner.

I'm saying there's a lot more money being tossed around than people want to admit in general because there is.

We have mid majors getting caught doing it you don't think practically every high major is?

I have no idea what the deal was with the Chin Coleman thing to be honest. I've never seen him act like that.

Your talking out your ASS and you know it. Some teams cheat no question. So how does that give you the right to come here and link Luka returning, (when most ALL the experts said he wasn't get drafted), to KU and Duke paying players to win championships? Please explain how you know this happened or admit that your making baseless claims at Luka's and the University of Iowa's expense.....

You're right about one thing, you're NOT obligated to read comments on an Iowa board. You choose to do so and then react like the little snowflake that you are. I bet the Illini players are so grateful that you are on here defending them.

But you guys can ask me about Underwood's former assistant with the implication he was involved? Ok.

You guys are incredibly naive if you think the money isn't being tossed around at every high major in the country. There's a reason players are going to be paid for their likeness after the f.b.i. scandal.

Reading this is like reading people being surprised Barry Bonds was on steroids lol

First off "you guys" has nothing to do with my post, Second the FACT that there is cheating going most certainly doesn't prove that EVERYONE is cheating. Many of the major teams who are regular final 8 teams have been shown to have been paying for play. The federal wiretaps included other cheaters like Arizona. NO WHERE has there been any evidence that Iowa or Illinois for that matter has been paying players. To simply throw out accusations at every team is lazy and unfounded. I assume your also suggesting that Ayo and Cockburn only returned because illini boosters or Underwood himself opened up the wallet to assure their return as well?

Please provide a link to ANY SOURCE, it could even be a conference foe's, that reliably asserts that McCaffery or any Iowa backers have paid to have players attend Iowa. As far as I know, there has not been even a hint of impropriety in the Iowa program under McCaffery. But you know better, so provide proof.

And to make the claim that Underwood did not benefit from his assistant, either with or without his knowledge, acquiring players with illegal payments is just the height of convenient ignorance.

As I said Ron this is just laziness and unfounded. The big dogs cheat and a few small dogs have been caught trying to be big dogs, so everyone is cheating. I wouldn't have been surprised if Raveling had some interesting stuff going on with all his shoe company and AAU ties, going on, but I see no reason to think Fran is in the muck. Hell two of the kids grew up in his home, one is a kid from Muscatine Iowa, three players are Iowa legasy players, CJ had family ties to Fran, I think even Luka, Fran had some friend who had ties out in DC and he was the first big school to come hard after him.

I watched the play live.....PSU guy fouled and got called for it..He was walking away and Ayo runs up on him. Bad decision by Ayo and should be ā€œTā€ ed up....then the crap starts because Ayo doesnā€™t back off....then, much worse decision by Ayo is to re-engage after the official has moved the PSU player away....very aggressive move WITH the official right there. Suspension for the next game is warranted.

Jaacks, Woodberry, McCabe, Brian Cardinal.... I am sure there are other white thugs.

I'll give you Jaacks but the rest of those Hawks were just physical players. Now, if we're talking white thugs, we need to begin the conversation with Knight's Hoosiers and Keady's Boilers. Those teams were filled with thugs. Since almost everyone that played for Knight and Keady were thuggish its hard to generalize the ethnic division but both had many white thugs. Those guys always had a senior football player or two whose sole purpose was to come in and do dirty plays. Since they were seniors it did not matter if they got disciplined by the league.

However, Isaiah Thomas was the dirtiest player I've ever seen play in the Big Ten. Thuggish behavior is not an ethnically specific character trait.

^ McCabe?! Are you serious? Literally threw an MSU player to the ground. PLENTY of off-the-court issues with that young man, as well.

Merry Christmas!

No way, just a rough player. Very typical Big Ten. I like Midwest basketball because it is physical. I'm in the basketball is a contact sport school of thought. I just want it called both ways.

McCabe's off the court issues were a couple of scuffles and the beat down of an internet stalker. The punk Zach punched in the face had been internet stalking and attacking Zach for at least two full years. Clearly the young man's education in etiquette had not extended to the part where he learned that being King Kong behind a keyboard does not actually make one King Kong. Then, said punk encountered Zach at night where {gasp} alcohol was involved and got up in Zach's chops and then {another gasp} two college boys took to fighting. The internet punk probably learned much that night, like don't flip shit at the 6'7" 240 pounder; he may not be in a mood to take it.

and, a very Merry Christmas back atcha.

Considering last season would have been the first NCAA tourney appearance for the Illini since 2013, it's nice to see Illinois become competitive again.

Mccaffery has literally never paid any players to come to iowa or stay at iowa, and personally I think thatā€™s a fireable offense.
