Does Zach Edey have no pro potential?

I clicked on an ignored poster’s content and was reminded why I have you on ignore.
He gets taken advantage of every March so I doubt he'll have much of a career in the NBA. He'll play a long time overseas.
He seems too slow to me. Unable to compete with the athleticism that he’ll see in the NBA. A little bit like what happened with Garza. But, I could certainly be wrong. We’ll see.
Backup rim protector potential. Backup because he can't shoot outside or guard outside (can't switch onto NBA wings or guards). More money at Purdue this year probably

If Luka can't make it in the NBA I doubt ZE will. Luka could shoot. Both are slow, Lumbering 5s in a game that doesn't bode well for 5s.
He's a bigger, slower Garza with no game outside of the lane. Athletic bigs in the NBA (which is everyone compared to Edey) will eat him alive.
I mean, if you want to compare guys of similar height, Big Vic will run circles around him. Even smaller, closer to traditional bigs like Embiid will too.

To the point, Edey at best is an end of the bench guy for a few years in the NBA. Too slow, and he’s never been able to achieve a high enough level of conditioning to be a real force.
He will have a successful career overseas, as some countries still love that big guy in the middle, but I can not see him making a contribution in the NBA.

I don't think anyone doubts his ability to be a dominant player in college. And if there are any, then they aren't someone whose opinion matters.
Purdue is glad he decided to finish out this season after today……he had a helluva game and Tennessee just tried to beat the shit out of him all game long.
Some NBA team is gonna get a steal. The league has trended back to bigs (Jokic/Embiid), Eddy isn’t in that class but will be a skilled and effective big man.

Better than most nba centers? I disagree completely. He doesn’t look coordinated or athletic. Can he be the next Yao Ming. I don’t think so.
The only way to guard him is to beat the s*** out of him and hope that the refs swallow the whistle. He could have shot twenty more free throws today than he already did.
Think he could be a nice role player someone who isn’t the focal point on offense. And not being asked to run out to the perimeter to guard the bigs with 3 pt range.
I think of him as a larger Luka Garza without the outside shot. Garza offensively can definitely play in the NBA, but the problem is he gives up so many points to opposing mobile big men that he provides little to no positive value while on the floor.
