Double Dribble

Do they call double dribble anymore in basketball? Moss was in the open in the backcourt. He dribbled the ball once and then held the ball. Moss then dribbled toward the basket and shot a layup.
I don't know how the refs missed this, otherwise it was a very well officiated game. Moss kept us in the game the first halve.

I remember this.. I think the ref motioned something to indicate a Rutgers player hit the ball out and moss regained possession.... I'm not sure if that actually happened because it looked like a double dribble but the refs justified* the non call
