Drew Ott and Jake Duzey question

Never thought after last season that this kind of year could happen. I thought the Kirk Ferentz era was coming to an end and a 7 and 5 or 8 and 4 record was a dream for this year's team. After Drew Ott went down with an ACL injury, the defense has bonded and Jaleel Johnson has stepped up his game. Hesse has had some moments but he is still undersized for now. This has been a great season no matter if Iowa make the playoffs or not, iMHO.

Anyway, about OTT and Duzey.... any chance either guy gets a medical redshirt for an additional year ? Ott seems less likely but one never knows.

Iowa has the numbers returning , maybe less Desmond King, to field another quality season with CJ, Daniels, Akrum, a stronger WR corps, and more improved OL. LBs could be better next year as guys like Aaron Mends and Bo Bowers competing for Fisher's spot. Secondary needs quality depth as will DEs.

Doubt it, especially Ott. Both those guys are likely headed to the NFL. Not much reason to come back.

Don't think Ott is even eligible

No Ott played too many games and Duzey is playing now so neither will be eligible for medical hardship year
