Thought Josh deserved a thread.
Most of us where real hard on him all year.
He showed today what he is made off..
Great job Josh.
Do some damage in nationals also.

He really is the main reason we still have a shot. Great job stepping up!

GREAT job out of Josh! Looked like he was having a blast out there today. Way to go out with a bang!

is that not the hawkeye way? Being the underdog and beating a top guy.
Great job Jeva.

Josh has had a great attitude all year. He's very engaged. He has certainly earned his success.

I'm sure he'll go out and give it his best against Striebler.

[It's going to be a gas tomorrow. Can't ask for more excitement.][/B]

Pretty nice run
very happy for Josh
(Makes one wonder why we needed 400 posts about another guy's weight)

Looked like he had a little bit of a limp in his swagger today. Sammy, Telford looked a little tired at times today. Bobby showed a lot of heart getting that last take down.

Yep -- the irony is that we have a guy in the Big Ten finals at 141 and we pretty much crapped out at 157. The guy everyone wanted to go down probably should have gone up months ago and grown into 157. Turns out we're lacking production there more than at 141 -- by a long shot, at least at Big Tens.

I was watching the BIGs on BTN2go and caught just the ticker that Josh won and a smile came to my face!!
Happy to see him "feeling it""!

Good Luck tomorrow........Like my Hawkeyes way more than Buckeye.

Even with the quick stall call (which was right IMO but not consistent with these refs), Josh picked it up in the second and third. We have three weak sports and Jeva punched his ticket to be the sacrificial virgin for Streibler. Josh should just go out there and let it rip like he did in the semi's. My hope is that he gives Logiebear a match and doesn't wrestle just to keep it to a decision. The goal is nationals and gaining confidence to get to the podium. The kid he beat in the quarters from Nebraska is tearing it up in wrestlebacks so even that win looks real impressive.

Was looking at the Guillotine and their posters were making fun of Moore and how pinning Kingsley at the dual was fluke...and then Moore pins Wanzek too. So there was silver lining for Moore today. Minne might be down to seven wrestlers to qualify.

Josh looked better than he ever has. I don't know where his new found confidence came from, but it was definitely on display in his offense. I was sitting by his uncle and he was exuberant (for you Missouri fans that means in simplified terms, "very happy").

Lizak and Waznek are not going to qualify. I'm no expert but I think Short is unlikely and he's hurt anyway.

Lots of parity this year. The NCAA tourney will come down to Iowa and tOSU, IMHO.

Spooner - I think you're wrong. Mizzou fan will be on shortly to tell you that Missouri is going to win it all.

Agreed. Whodda thunk it? I credit Dziewa with a major accomplishment advancing to the finals. Major congrats to Josh!!

Only 392 more post to go to level the boards karma.
Come on guys!!!!!!!

I was down on Josh and said he wouldn't AA. Maybe he will, maybe he won't. But, after the BIG tourney, he can hold his head high, no matter what happens at nationals. Great job!

Josh is just plain scrapping, really happy for him to go out swinging. Very positive guy and really coming on when the team needs him.

I feel he's a senior who realizes this is it so he's putting it all out there. I love it!

Really cool for Josh. He beat the other Dardanes last year in the dual and now he's got a win over Nick. Both Dardanes are studs, wrestle like beasts and have incredible motors. Dziewa has had his issues in black and gold, but no matter what happens tomorrow he helped out his NCAA seeding today. He could maybe get the 5 seed at this point. If he were to finish 5th, I think most Hawk fans would be dancing in the streets. Great work Josh!

Go Hawks!!!

Probably only if it contributes to a Team Title...........................

I've said many times this year, Josh is having a decent year, especially for someone as painfully inconsistent as he has been. Just as well go out on good note.

Did you see him blowing kisses to the crowd yesterday after his win? I'm happy to see Josh coming on strong when it counts.

Way to go Josh D!

That was the most passion I've seen from him. Good stuff.

Wish I had gotten more of a taste of this Josh throughout the season....saw a little more of what he was capable of against Virginia and it was amazing. So glad, he decided to bring it here when it's really counting.....alot of pressure now to keep performing though!

The two wrestlers who Ironside kept saying "This is the best they have wrestled all year" were Jeva and Burak. Going for and getting a TD on Dardanes when he was already leading 3-1, is of course, the kind of stuff that Ironside (and the rest of us) get fired up to see.

Congrats to Josh. This run should really help with seeds at Nationals.

I would guess Dziewa has a pretty good shot at the 6 seed at nationals. Josh typically beats the guys he should beat, which would put him into the quarters at NCAAs. I'm liking his chances to AA in St Louis. With Moore's nose dive, we're going to need all hands on deck

Dziewa did a great job for us for sure. Bummer he has to wrestle a stinking big time prodigy next up.
