ESPN disrespect is bad

In fairness, if Iowa loses in the regular season and/or the CCG then they will have been right. Even with all the negative opinions I don't think I've heard a commentator on ESPN say that if Iowa goes 13-0 they don't deserve to be in the playoffs. Of course, I haven't listened to all of them either so I'm sure there's somebody but it seems the majority feel that way.

A couple things. First, there is at least one talking had who said absolutely Iowa should not be in even if they run the table. He is the exception though.

Second, they are not really "right". If they said iowa had an unproductive second half and still won comfortably, that would be right. If they said iowa doesn't have a marquee win but they do have a decent resume to date, that would be right. If they said we were blessed with a relatively easy back half of our schedule with no OSU, MSU or Mich., that would be right.

What's not right is that we didn't "avoid" anyone. What's not right is that we haven't played anyone. Bama beat a tough Wisconsin squad but we got Wisconsin in an off year. You can't have it both ways.

The bottom line: I'm ok with anyone saying "hey, there's a lot of games left but at this point they're in the discussion." What I don't like is trying to minimize every win we have while playing up wins by teams they want to keep in the discussion. It's disingenuous and make no mistake....It is happening and it's deliberate.

the sh!t heap that is E(SEC)PN and their continuous disrespect may actually do us a favor and keep that big fat chip right on the shoulders of Hawkeyes players. I hope it gives us a little extra motivation every Saturday from here on out to go prove all these douche nozzles that diss us wrong. And to give em all a big fat sh!t burger to eat!(insert Major League scene here)

If Iowa beats an undefeated Ohio State or a Michigan State that gives them all the strength of schedule they need ESPN be d......

We're 4-0 now with 4 games remaining. With all the concern we are showing for the Indiana game (rightfully so I think) it's hard to claim we should be in the playoffs at the same time. It's what my Dad would have called very pre-manure.

Jeebus! Guys! It's already been talked about plenty on ESPN. They've discussed Iowa winning out, including the BIG Championship. They all agreed that if Iowa wins out, they will and should make the College Football Playoff.

An undefeated Iowa football team will jump a 1 loss Stanford and Notre Dame. Stanford's loss to NW will come in to play as that is a common opponent that won't be ignored. Alvarez and Osborne will make sure it isn't ignored.

Notre Dame doens't play for a conference championship and has already lost to playoff team Clemson, assuming they make it in to the playoff. They wouldn't deserve it and this may be the push Notre Dame needs to join a conference.

LSU is probably going to beat Alabama and win the SEC.

Everything will work itself out if Iowa keeps winning. Just calm down.

Peter Burns......another ESPN hack chimes in on his twitter. Man, some of these guys will do and say anything to get the number of followers up. What a punk couple of tweets he has had and then he comes back and tweets how he really likes Iowa being undefeated....jag

I like being 8-0 and I'm enjoying it... What I hate is all the whining about respect this and respect that.. There is a lot of good conversation pieces don't get me wrong. The Hawks biggest challenge the rest of the year is themselves. Injuries, fundamental break downs, ect... I will cheer week after week in my loud mouth soup, and let the cards fall where they may... It's been a fun season so far, and I look forward to the next week. #Untilthegameiswon...
