ND played 5 top 25 teams (2 in the top 10). ND beat three of them. Iowa played two, lost one. ND SOS wins. Do you even follow college football? Enjoy being Stanford whipping boy. See you after the Rose bowl lol.
That depends on which poll you look at. The one you are looking at ranks USC at #25, but USC is unranked in both coaches and AP polls now). And in both of those polls Wisconsin is still ranked whereas they aren't in the poll you are looking at. For a more balanced look at the ranked teams (and the ones picking up votes in polls), here are the games that Iowa and Notre Dame both played that have votes in all of the different polls.
Iowa
3 - beat unranked (AP unranked, coaches unranked - #40) Pittsburgh (home game)
5 - beat unranked (AP - #23, coaches - #23) Wisconsin (road game)
7 - beat #13 (AP - #12, coaches #12) Northwestern (road game)
13 - lost to #3 (AP - #3, coaches #4) MSU 16-13 (neutral site)
Notre Dame
5 - lost to #1 (AP #1, coaches #1) Clemson 24-22 (road game)
6 - beat #21 (AP #21, coaches #22) Navy 41-24 (home game)
7 - beat #25 (AP unranked - #27, coaches unranked - #27) USC 41-31 (home game)
8 - beat #24 (AP #24, coaches #24) Temple 42-30 (road game)
9 - beat unranked (AP unranked, coaches unranked - #40) Pittsburgh (road game)
12 - lost to #6 (AP #5, coaches #6) Stanford 38-36 (road game)
Note when looking at this that Iowa is 1-1 against top 20 teams in all of the polls, and Notre Dame is 0-2 against top 20 teams in all of the polls.
If you add in #21-25 and those receiving votes in AP and coaches polls then it is...
Iowa 3-1, Notre Dame 4-2
Just trying to bring a bit of reality to your post here that tries to make a bit more out of the real numbers than really exists. And as people have noted, #13 Northwestern that Iowa beat beat #6 Stanford, which is the only top 20 team besides Clemson that Notre Dame has played.
