ESPN: ISU's McKay can return from ban if he behaves

To be fair, I never heard Prohm say "if he behaves." Prohm simply stated he has to meet certain expectations this week. Terrible title by ESPN.

Still think the situation is being handled oddly. If Prohm met with McKay, as he stated in the interview, you would think they either reconciled their differences or they didn't. Sounds like McKay didn't do or say anything in that meeting that makes Prohm think he is going to change, otherwise I would have expected Prohm to show more support for McKay, e.g. he made a mistake but is working hard, being a good teammate, and we support him. Instead it feels like Prohm is just dragging this thing out.

The story reveals a bit more; bottom line, if there are no further incidents (ie, if he behaves), he will return from his suspension.

The first paragraph of the story:

Iowa State Cyclones standout Jameel McKay will be able to return Satuday from his indefinite suspension if he can get through the week without any further incidents, coach Steve Prohm told ESPN's Andy Katz on Thursday.

Prohm is in a tough spot. It seemed he only wanted him gone for a game, but then McKay couldn't keep his trap shut and had to miss another one. Whatever he did originally probably wasn't super egregious to warrant a huge suspension, but it sounds like Prohm is skeptical he'll actually learn from missing games.
