Fant

At least he waited until he got to the goal line to be "unsportmanlike". ;)

Which is why I don’t think it was the dive. Had it been the dive, the ball would have came back out to the one and TD negated.

Could have been the ball flip after he landed. Either way, KF didn’t agree with the call by the looks of it. He was getting after the sideline officials.

Really? Are you sure about that? Once he crosses the goal line it's a dead ball, right?

If he dives (from the 1 yd line), then the ball comes out to the spot of the foul. That I’m sure of, as we’ve already been witness to once this year.

Edit:
Leap started right at the 4 yd line. Ball flip was very minor. No taunting. Very very weak unsportsmanlike call.

Maybe diving is ok, but falling to the ground is unspotsmanlike? ;)

Maybe it was a makeup call for Fant’s first TD when he gave the Mutombo finger wag.

Nebraska recruited him and I think he wanted to go to Lincoln. Pelini & Co. wanted him to play defense. Fant, wanted to play tight end. Riley wanted him, but got on the scene too late.

And still he could be considered the best when it’s all said and done.. he’d be hands down(no pun intended) the best TE if he caught everything thrown in his direction.

It's possible
hopefully it ends up that way
I feel the same way about some other guys
Epenesa
Stanley
the team has multiple players with awesome potential
the question is: will Kirk bring it out, or suppress it?

Hoping he’ll bring it out! I have more faith he’ll bring it out after watching Akrum Wadleys carrer.. I was fearful AW would never get a fair crack with KF but we saw how that went! Hey, AW even fumbled the ball today we got it back and AW got the very next carry after the fumble.. never ever did I think I’d see the day a RB not named Mark Weisman fumble the ball at Iowa and get to carry it the very next snap!

I think the ref was being kind. The dive was the penalty, but the ref applied it to the after TD celebration. Diving into the end zone like that is a penalty, a stupid rule, but still a penalty.

As for the best ever, lets hope he avoids the late career injuries that hit Moeaki and Kittle. Hard to believe Clark was still a Linebacker at the same point in his career. It will be interesting to see how the graduation of Wadley impacts the use of the TE in the red zone. With Young in the backfield we my see more pounding it in like with Shonn Greene or even Wiseman. This year, those plays went to the TEs in play action.

It is completely possible the ref just called the penalty incorrectly.

What is the over under on Nate having 20 td passes to Tight Ends on 2018? Lethal!!

Sedge.

Just shows the total arbitrary nature of the rule.

The reffs can take away a score if they want to or leave it. Its just what the **** ever they feel like.

Good job ncaa.
