Can not disagree with this. From Evy to HF Iowa suffered through 4 coaches of near epic ineptitude. Not much fun.I don't think many of you have been an Iowa fan long enough to know what a bad coach is. If the fan base ever gets it's wish for a coach turnover you may find out like Neb has what a coaching merry go round is and how hard it is to find a savior.
And still he could be considered the best when it’s all said and done.. he’d be hands down(no pun intended) the best TE if he caught everything thrown in his direction.
And this is an assumption that goes on endlessly with no real basis in fact. There were a number of reasons that Wadley wasn't playing much the first couple of years and ball security was just the tip of the iceberg. You know, things like he weighed about 170lbs maybe, and reportedly wasn't all that interested in following Doyle's personalized development plan in the weight room or his nutrition goals. Akrum had a lot of growing up to do, which he and his mother have spoken about openly. Of course some people still want to make up these conspiracy theories about why some guys don't play. How many goofs has ISM made this season, as he did again Saturday on the kickoff return, only to come right back as an integral part of the offensive game plan?Hoping he’ll bring it out! I have more faith he’ll bring it out after watching Akrum Wadleys carrer.. I was fearful AW would never get a fair crack with KF but we saw how that went! Hey, AW even fumbled the ball today we got it back and AW got the very next carry after the fumble.. never ever did I think I’d see the day a RB not named Mark Weisman fumble the ball at Iowa and get to carry it the very next snap!
Hands maybe, but Fant is a fast and fluid runner. Almost every game he is running away from defensive backs. Dude can fly......Let's not forget how great Dallas was. I don't think Fant has Clark's speed or hands.
Don't overlook the impact next season from IKM. Serious talent there, and impressed with the way he and Young responded each time they've had their numbers called.I think the ref was being kind. The dive was the penalty, but the ref applied it to the after TD celebration. Diving into the end zone like that is a penalty, a stupid rule, but still a penalty.
As for the best ever, lets hope he avoids the late career injuries that hit Moeaki and Kittle. Hard to believe Clark was still a Linebacker at the same point in his career. It will be interesting to see how the graduation of Wadley impacts the use of the TE in the red zone. With Young in the backfield we my see more pounding it in like with Shonn Greene or even Wiseman. This year, those plays went to the TEs in play action.

FANT is primarily a finesse athlete. He's not as interested in putting his body on the line kind of like a prissy wide receiver. He is more receiver than TE. Glad to have him as an athlete. The whole not laying out for the ball thing has come up on a number of occasions during games. Making some of the tougher catches throughout the season could have helped the team quite a bit if he had been willing to make the effort. Having been more interested in Nebraska coming out of high school, his loyalty to Iowa as a program is probably low. Rather, since we recruited him to play TE, he sees playing here as his path to the NFL at the position he wanted to play.
Not sure what 'continued mugging' you are referring to. He flipped the ball and stood up and ran off the field. It wasn't the dive. Maybe should have been, but if it had been the dive, the TD would have been negated. It was the continued mugging after the score.
We don't use the TEs enough. We never pass to the TEs. Fire everyone.

Fant has the goods to be better than Dallas too! Flat out people. FLAT OUT. You all are talking like that’s a bad thing! Lol.. I wonder why that is?? Dallas was tough as nails to thou to go with the Talent he brought.
