Knight smoked #1 seed 13-3 to make the 1/4s. Ayala on the other side of the draw.A lot of great wrestling today at Fargo. Things should start to get interesting tomorrow. Few things I took from today.
Ross is so damn good and does it effortless.
I was impressed with Dru Ayala on the mat and Jake Knight. I know they didn't wrestle tough competition but looked good.
Aaron Stewart of Illinois and Mario Hutcherson of Pennsylvania could be on a collision course.
Curious to see how deep of a run Voinovich makes.
Wearing a bracePrecautionary with Worlds coming up? Or serious?
Inquiring mind; is the University of Iowa collective (NIL) in a position to compete for some (any) of the elite wrestlers? The chase for some of these kids will be intense. Already is, perhaps.
If it’s the shoulder brace he’s been wearing that since the start of the hs season.Wearing a brace
Let's hope for the best with Dreshaun. I'm concerned that he defaulted out when wearing a brace. Personally, I'd want him to have surgery now if it really is a nagging shoulder injury because without surgery, it will always be a liability. If it’s the shoulder brace he’s been wearing that since the start of the hs season.
Same shoulder with the brace came out early in the match. Give up a takedown and a caution and one in the sequence and took injury time. Came back out and hit a slick takedown followed by a push out to make it 3-3. Had a front headlock and it after it was whistled, he stayed down and defaulted.Precautionary with Worlds coming up? Or serious?
Only problem is he never has an off season to recover. Surgery would take him out of football and the worlds now.Let's hope for the best with Dreshaun. #TheSeboltWayDreshaun injury defaulted in the rd of 16.
Is that a bad look for Sebolt? Not a great reputation in that area already.Dreshaun is another example of kids not taking the time off to heal and rest. His body is gonna be a battered mess before he’s even into college
Unfortunately running the kids into the ground by the time they graduate hs has become a reputation there. It’s great he’s a multi sport athlete but clearly the body needs a break at timesIs that a bad look for Sebolt? Not a great reputation in that area already.
It just would have happened at Worlds then. We all remember Cassar's shoulder issues at heavy. They just never go away. To me, this makes it more likely he leans towards football where the torque on the shoulder is less.I like watching Dreshaun wrestle as much as the next guy but I’d rather watch him at worlds. Questionable decision imo.

No, "WE" all don't remember a Penn State wrestlers injuries. This is a Hawkeye board after all.It just would have happened at Worlds then. We all remember Cassar's shoulder issues at heavy. easier than wrestlingNothing says easy on the shoulders quite like football.
long time wrestling fans remember those things. I remember McDonough's injury and that's been 11 years. Just because you follow one team and not college wrestling in general doesn't mean you need to show your ignorance by saying it.No, "WE" all don't remember a Penn State wrestlers injuries. Good thing football players don't use their shoulders. They could get hurt!
easier than wrestling
It's not picking nits and you know it. Wrestling is harder on shoulder joints than football. This is picking nits, which is what makes it such a terrible take.
He knows all about Cassar’s shoulder and every other PSU wrestler. Wildturk is on the PSU forum more than Iowas.long time wrestling fans remember those things. Maybe they areAaron Stewart has absolutely dominated his field. Iowa should be trying hard for him.
Not the greatest or safest part of jtown but at least its just a stones throw to the hospital...Melvin Miller is super high on my recruiting wishlist. Getting him and Bassett would be game-changing. Morningstar should rent an apartment down the street from Bishop McCort. Throw Herring in as the cherry on top.
Kyler was burnt out years ago.Kael Voinovich beat Kyler Knack 14-5.
Kyler was leading this match in the 2nd period. Oh, he also won 16U (freestyle and Greco) last year. 😂Kyler was burnt out years ago.
That's all I was saying.Ross needs to get it fixed or it will continue to be a problem.
Unfortunately he could get it fixed and it could still be a problem, no?Ross needs to get it fixed or it will continue to be a problem.

Sure but it might not, it's definitely a problem not getting it fixed.Unfortunately he could get it fixed and it could still be a problem, no?
It is very concerning that he still has that brace on months later. Brings back memories of kem and Mac’s senior year. Hopefully a good orthopedic surgeon is following him.Sure but it might not, it's definitely a problem not getting it fixed.
