Farniok commits to Nebraska

"Pretty much the same as far as ratings and offers." bwhahahahaha

hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Nebraska doesn't pass the ball 40+times a game......and even so, anyone with half a brain realizes you still need good lineman to have a strong passing game.

Nebraska is pass happy, they have to be when they can't run it. It's the condition of your program right now. Averaged 35+ attempts per game, and over 40 attempts in 5 of those 13 games.

"Nebraska doesn't pass the ball 40+ times a game". Hmmmm. It appears you don't pay attention too well, or you're perhaps just a liar.

Maybe your just jealous that Iowa has never had a team as good as these 5 teams that won National Championships.;)

So with your logic Minnesota is a prestigious program to be jealous of with all those national titles decades ago. In this century your teams are mediocre. Last national title most of husker players weren't born. But please continue coming to an Iowa board trying to convince Iowa fans how great Nebraska is. Sure you've made a lot of progress doing that.

Nebraska threw the ball 35 times per game. NU will need to improve upon the rushing game. They'll run it more when they get better results out of it, obviously.

Farniok is a great addition to the class. He is considerably higher rated than Jackson and has noticeable better offers, just to be accurate. That doesn't mean he will be the better college player though, and Jackson is also a great addition to a class.

Although I would have loved to Farniok, Jackson actually has better upside at OT which is what we needed more. Farniok and Jackson were pretty much the same as far as rating and offers, Jackson just has a better frame for OT. I was scared Nebby was going to get Raridon, Jackson, Farniok all in the same class and that would be impressive. That being said, unless Reilly gets his head out of his butt and keeps passing it 40+ times it really doesn't matter who they bring in at OL

Whatever you say. Farniok hasn't even begun to tap into his potential. Just look at his lift weights. Based on their offers, Farniok was obviously the more prized recruit, and why we were recruiting him much harder than Jackson. We're very pleased with our OLine class this year. Carry on...

For the foreseeable future, Nebraska will finish no better than 3rd in the B10 West Division. I would question the intelligence of any high school o-lineman choosing Nebraska over Iowa.

Being his height and weight will more than likely limit him to the interior while Jackson as an athletic 6'7" player will have more flexibility. The point I am making is I feel as though he choose the wrong program to truly tap into his potential.

Hmmmmmm, tell me..how does passing an average of 35 attempts a game equals "40+times a game?"

Fact- Nebraska ran the ball more than they passed the ball last year. Maybe that's "pass happy" in your mind. I would call it balanced. But, Riley has stated he wants to run the ball better...and more often. Now he just needs to do it.

Farniok's poor showing at a recent high school all star-related event had me questioning his quickness. South Dakota high school competition makes Farniok look better than he is.

I live in SoDak. You have no idea how true your statement is. The level of football is not really comparable to Iowa HS football, or Nebraska HS football, for that matter.

Fact: Nebby had a losing record...Nebraska lost more than they won. It was pretty close though, so not only is Riley trying to run a balanced offense but apparently trying to run a balance program as well by having the same percentage of wins as they do loses.....so 50% run 50% pass= 50% Win and 50% loss

You may be on to something....in 2012 Iowa was close to 50/50 in the run/pass ratio and went 4-8. I'm sure that explains the whole story.

Lost in all this Nebraska is a pass happy team....doesn't need olineman....olineman want to play downhill crapola is that Iowa averaged 1 more yard per game on the ground than Nebraska did this year.

Pretentious arrogant pricks. That's all Nebraska fans are. And like I said, they're too stupid to shut up when they get their asses kicked. The worst thing the B1G did was let them in our conference. They act like Ohio State but perform like every other middle of the road team in the conference.

Crazy after 9000 posts you only have 300 likes. this one is pure poetry.

Yeah, I would be confident after that 255 yard 21-point offensive barrage you laid on us in Lincoln this year.

You'll have to pardon me for trusting the opinion of the coaching staffs at Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Nebraska instead of some dope named Hans81 from a message board. Hell, your own coaching staff felt he was worthy of an offer.

Don't you ever tire of looking foolish? You're insulting a lot of pretty good coaching staffs with your 7th grade blather. Sour grapes are understandable, but have some pride and don't make it so obvious that you're upset.

It's amazing what a blowout loss in a bowl game can do for the humility of .

And with your logic, the Luftwaffe had comparable aircraft to a 747. 6 out of 7 of Minnesota's national titles were before Hitler conquered Europe. Close to 60 years earlier than our last national title. Even the least informed football fan can make a much better parallel than that.

Nebraska still has a better record than Iowa since 2000. We've been mostly consistent, and Iowa has had a few good years, and some very bad years. And if I recall correctly, If we go back just one year prior to 2000, we can see in Ferentz's first year, the bottom dropped out to the tune of 1-10.

Pelini left the cupboard pretty bare in terms of depth at key positions, and our coaching staff had to deal with it. Despite that, we lost 4 games on our opponent's last offensive play. And I think after outyarding Iowa 435 - 255, most logical Iowa fans felt fortunate to get out of Lincoln with a win.

The yardage was meaningless. With no run game UNL had no chance against Iowa. It played out just like Iowa wanted. Get ahead (with Iowa QB injured) and make the UNL QB throw it. Most logical UNL fans knew they couldn't win the game and they were right they couldn't. The game was never in jeopardy. It's amazing how far UNL football has fallen. Scoreboard is the only thing that matters just ask Clemson.

With each post you make, the average IQ of this board drops dramaticallly. Did your plan also include to wait for our best starting safety to get bounced from the game on a BS call, so you could finally start moving the ball? Shut up already. You're embarrassing your fanbase.

Ok you can have the yardage if that makes you feel better. The Husker fans I work with don't give a sh... Look at the first touchdown. Where is that safety??? Year three for that safety and he still has not learned how to tackle. (See UCLA) He is totally lost on the play and blames his teammate. IA QB at 50% and the Hawks still won in that so called tough atmosphere. Two in a row I might add. Take off the red colored glasses. Tom Osborne is gone. Hawks 28 UNL 20. "Restore the Order".

The biggest difference is that Ferentz was in his late 40's early 50's when we hired him, allowing him time to build the program before collecting social security.

Yes your safety got ejected, but to say it was a BS call is nothing short of ridiculous. It was an obvious targeting call and on those plays they refer to replay which confirmed it

Farniok has more problems than just a lack of strength. Jackson has a higher athletic platform on which to build. I would have been happy with a Farniok commit, if we wanted an interior player. We wanted a tackle so I'm happier with AJ. Many Hawk fans have said they preferred Jackson before they each decided.

Obviously your fans know much more than the host of D1 coaches that offered Farniok and not Jackson. Yeah, I'm sure all of their opinions were voiced 'well' before Farniok made his decision. The spin machine is strong in Iowa City. Carry on...

I would wager to say that they will both end up being pretty good. Who will end up as the better of the two is speculation at this point. Since I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night, I will refrain from speculating at this time.

It's not the end all but I'm confident in saying that AJ is a better athlete. He's also a decent bb player and remember he's only been playing football for two years. Most staffs never heard of him until his senior year.

I would say AJ has more upside, and had he played more then just a couple years he would have been more sought after nd might have had an additional star.Of course, once he had committed to Iowa, I am sure he would have lost that additional star. :)
