Federal judge hands Musk’s DOGE a win on data access at 3 agencies

I can show you TONS of wonderful things that Congress funds. By using your logic, that would mean that congress never allocates anything that should NOT be funded. You don't want to die on that hill do you?
Congress funds things they shouldn’t fund all the time. It’s still their job to fix it. For example, we could start will military spending.

Doge isn't a new government agency though? You honestly don't know anything about it, do you?
Nor do you and that's the problem. No one really knows anything about DOGE. The DOGE staff haven't been vetted and they have access to very delicate information. Do you not see a problem with that? We don't live in a Trump monarchy, as much as it appears to displeasure you.

A lot of the “headlines” will turn out to Bev bullshit and lies… how in the hell can a kid walk into someone’s books and declare billions of $$$ of waste after looking at the books for a couple of days?

Who "looked at the books"?

There were ZERO auditors. Only a bunch of web-page programmers with 1-3 years of experience.

Does that make them "fraud"?

There was 100% oversight, and public knowledge of USAID programs.

There is 0% oversight and public knowledge of what Elno is up to.
Of course some of it is fraud. If money is slipped into a bill for funding and Congress does not do their due diligence to line item everything...then that (in my mind) is fraud or at the VERY least WASTE.

There is no reputable accountant/biokkeeper/auditor that works that way…only those folks with an agenda. This, like everything Trump is nothing more than theatrics and diversion. Trump will make up some numbers to ram through a tax cut that will greatly serve his billionaire friends and cohearts. He will phuque every American he has to and every American ally he can to accomplish his ends.
I will respectfully disagree. If you don't honestly believe that they can quickly find waste where it exist....then I cannot help you on that. But, you are correct on one thing, we will know the truth one way or the other as they will have to povide receipts for everything they claim. And, if the are not truly finding waste and fraud then no one has to worry because no real needed funding will be cut.

That doesn’t matter. Congress needs to fix it. You can’t skirt the constitution. Which is what they are doing. This isn’t a difficult concept to grasp. It’s why you can’t go shoot someone while they are awaiting trial.
Please tell me how they are skirting the constitution. If they are skirting the constitution, then why are the Dems in Congress not trying to pass a bill to stop it?

Been posted many many times for you.

Perhaps a former Reagan WH lawyer can spell it out for you:

Alan Charles Raul was associate White House counsel under President Ronald Reagan and general counsel of the Office of Management and Budget under Reagan and President George H.W. Bush. He is board secretary of the Society for the Rule of Law and a lecturer at Harvard Law School.

Why are you incapable of reading things?

Not sure how anyone can call this an audit or efficiency review. Professional audits and reviews don’t operate like a PR campaign. It’s operating more like a political vendetta than efficiency review/audit. The waste they’ve pointed out so far I believe in the USAid budget has amounted to around 1% of the budget. And DOGE in its haste has been wrong about several instances of waste.
The status quo of government and spending definitely needs reform. I doubt Musk is the man to get us there. In the end new swamp creatures appointed by Trump or the next guy will create another swamp. It’s obvious the IG’s were all fired so it would be easier to fire and replace government employees with lapdogs.

Because Congress doesn't pass bills to overturn unconstitutional acts. That's the job of the Judiciary and why there are so many lawsuits filed on these items already.

SMFH

And this is WHY Congress appropriates those funds:

IN 2008, I DEPLOYED TO AFGHANISTAN for the first time on a Provincial Reconstruction Team. Our group included active-duty airmen and soldiers as well as reservists and guardsmen. But the linchpin of our team was our USAID embed, David. He may not have been lethal with a weapon, but without him we would have failed catastrophically.

David had been to Iraq before he volunteered in Afghanistan. He not only went outside the wire in some of Afghanistan’s most dangerous, insurgent-infested regions, but also showed the ropes to newbies like myself.

In 2008, most of America’s military might was focused on Iraq, so those of us fighting the “good war” in Afghanistan had to make do with what we could get. For most of my deployment, we had fewer than 300 personnel (my small squad from the PRT and a company of the 101st) to hold down most of Kapisa, a province of 700 square miles and half a million people. We did not have the military might to clear and hold terrain. David and the USAID were the only way we could get into hard-to-reach places.

USAID helped us make friends and allies in Afghanistan that no number of soldiers, diplomats, or intelligence officers could. Food and medicine and infrastructure buy good will, good will translates to conversations, and conversations turn into intelligence and partnerships, which were vital not only to our mission but to keeping us safe.

David wasn’t the only USAID representative I served with. Through my career, I proudly served alongside hundreds of USAID personnel.
Some, like my friend Jody, served for years in Afghanistan. USAID frequently sends its employees—armed only with humanitarian aid—into areas the military deems too dangerous for conventional forces. It should come as no surprise that these American heroes sometimes make the ultimate sacrifice.
He seems woke. Glad we have a real war fighter in charge

Government agencies are subject to FOIA requirements.
I heard on NPR today that Trump is seeking to shield DOGE from FOIA requests through some sleight of hand via the presidential records act.
Probably why NPR is in the crosshairs. Can't have people in the media going off the script.

The people who call this an audit are very…simple people. They’re the kind of people who fall for cults and worship celebrity. Sad.

I posted an entire thread for you on how Congress has ALL the tools needed to identify and de-fund the fraud.

Did you READ it?
Yes, and have they done it? A fire department can have all the tools to put out a fire, but if the fail to use them and the fire burns out of control...something else must be done to fix that issue.

You have shown me the opinons of two RHINO appointees. Here is what a Federal Judge just ruled two days ago.

So you really believe the US is furnishing Arabs with millions of condoms? Good for you!
I believe they even admitted the mistake on that one. So, you don't believe ANY waste has been found (like the one I referenced earlier in this thread)? Good for you.

So, if you don’t like the results of bills from a democratically elected Congress, you can just do whatever the f*** you want?
So, you are also refusing to acknowlege that a Federal judge has ruled in favor of DOGE two days ago? I can't help it if you if you don't like the ruling. Trump has already said they will follow the courts, and if needed file appeals...unlike his predecessor. Right now, everything they are doing is legal.

Who is in the majority in Congress, please look it up. or, the Repubs have a 53-47 majority and the House Repubs have a 1 or 2 seat majority.

The Dems cannot pass a bill by themselves and the Repub bootlickers almost always vote how Dumpster wants. So this is all down to the Repubs.

It is good politics as the minority to try to bring a vote to the floor on a bill to see if some Repubs will vote with them. And the vote could be a shame on you type of vote like voting for more food for poor kids just to see how many Repubs will vote against it.

Exactly, and they have refused to do...which is why DOGE was created.

An agency can’t usurp the constitutional and statuary role of Congress. That’s what you don’t seem to get. You “feel” there’s fraud in congressionally-authorized spend, but DOGE isn’t authorized as an agency to do what they’re doing.

I see you’re going to choose to die on this hill so my words are meaningless

There is “waste” every where in business…I just think this DOGE bullshit is just that…mostly agenda driven bullshit… and nothing that can’t be handled more efficiently on a daily basis…Again… why was there a big deal about about condoms for Arabs when it was a phuquin’ lie from the get-go? Just bullshit to create noise and get everyone up in arms…because we know a couple of things about Trump… he is a lyin’ sumbitch about everything and he loves to make noise… lots of phuquin’ noise.

True, but Congress clearly has failed in the oversite of USAID when our taxpayer money is going to things such as the $1.5 million they sent to advance DEI in Serbian workplaces. That is insane & wrong no matter how you look at it, and I am glad they are stopping some of this rediculous spending when we have so many Americans who are in need. And, the chances are hight that at some point Congress will take this over too.
Do you even understand why that would be done? Are you totally unaware of ethnic Albanians and Croats?

It happened to be part of educating the Serbs that genocide is a bad thing.

That’s not exactly the way a bill works. Nothing would ever get done without the wheeling and dealing and horse trading. “I’ll vote for your bill if you add this thing for my state to it. “

Well, you'd be wrong. That's a law, not fraud. But you do you and assume what you want. That's par for the course for anti-american principled maga.

Not even that much.

And it keeps our troops safe in unstable/combat zones. So, eliminating that we can expect more hostilities pointed at them.
