I’ve never gotten the sense that he was dying to be a Hawkeye. Hope I am wrong, but growing up in Iowa, if the Hawkeye’s HC knocked on my door, I’d have been waiting on the other side with a pen.
I start by saying to each his own and kudos to this kid being good enough to have Power 5 schools knocking on his door ... In my opinion, I think the longer this goes on the less likely it is he will be choosing Iowa. Kids live in the now and maybe our "average" season has caused him to take pause. He knows what Iowa has to offer and if he hasn't been convinced yet then I am guessing he will be signing somewhere else outside the Hawkeye State. Best of luck to him ...
First off, those girls aren't very hot. Go to Iowa's campus in August and walk around, IC can compete. Second, his family wants him closer to home. I'd be more worried about ISU/OSU then UCLA.
You couldn’t pay me enough money to live in LA. That said, I understand why a lot of people would want to. As Rusty said, to each his own.
UCLA averaged almost 40k empty seats per home game this year. Fun!

Nothing screams college football vibe...like playing in front of 40,000 empty seats 30 miles (and well over an hour drive) from your campus.

He’s not going there to play WR. If we’re thinking of this as a “football” decision, going to play DL at Iowa seems like a pretty solid choice.

This is the first I've heard of Ferentz Sr. getting off his ass and out on the trail this year. He seems to operate within a 2 hour radius, year in and year out.
I love UCLA's campus- played rugby there a few times. It's a cool area
For me the downside is traffic, an absolute woof. The beach is 5+ miles away and can take a while to get there due to traffic.

That's a solid point, but here's a rebuttal: At least at Iowa, you don't have to compete with Lakers, Clippers, Dodgers, Rams and Chargers to enjoy the company of these very comely and nice young ladies.

Probably the first time you have heard about it because he doesn't tweet out that he is spending the night at some HS house etc. If you don't appreciate KF's low key personality in which he doesn't do things to get publicity but rather to get results. Just because you haven't heard about it doesn't mean it doesn't happen
About 6 miles as the crow flies... 30 minute drive minimum.

IC women can more than compete with UCLA ladies. IC women are just as hot & waaaaay cooler chicks to hang out with.
Kind of lopsided in IC’s favor imo. Same could be said with IC women & Az St. Why are stupid, annoying women so unattractive??
I think you're right about him probably going to ISU. The West Coast has the sunshine, and the girls all get a tan. But Ames has the water.
