Nicely done here Frannie, great work! Does this erase some of the sting from the men's side from you all? I know it does and the other thing, imagine being a Creighton fan today, that was a brutal loss, similar to our 2015 loss vs Sparty in B10 title game!
In all ways that matter she already has passed Stringer.
I don’t really agree with this just yet. Stringer had us as a regional power. Everyone knew the Big Ten title had to be earned by going through Iowa City, 6 titles in 7 seasons. Bluder hasn’t gotten us there yet, only 2 total titles. But win a game or two this weekend and there’s an argument that could put her over the top.
I won't lie I only saw probably 2 minutes of the game but that has to be an all time NCAA performance. Tremendous job by Clark and the coaching staff to truly unleash her.
This helps erase a bit of the sting from the men's showing. And it just goes to show how a super star guard can change everything with the right supporting cast.
Creighton fans won't ever get over that loss, imo. If refs are not calling that type of contact all game long and then they do at the end, where it decides the game, that's ridiculous.
I think ESPN loves CC. She gives their women's NCAA tourney coverage a major boost.
What are all these ways that "matter"? IMO, Stringer is still the icon of womens basketball coach at Iowa and the only way Bluder can pass her is to reach the NC game and win it.
Yeah I was thinking being from Omaha and knowing that team how that will sting for a very, very long time. Agreed on consistency although Jays did themselves zero favors shooting 0-10 from 3 in 2nd half. I was thinking to myself after those teams combined for 14 straight missed shots "one of these teams is going to Final 4?"!
