Same. When they came out with the slim battery it was a game changer.
The first cell phone I recall my dad having was mounted in his truck and the handset had a cord to the base. Looked this:
This is the one that had essentially a walkie-talkie feature that you could set up with another phone to save cell minutes. And it came with a really sweet belt holster.
Well I'm not saying it was a bad a thing to wear them. There was an era... and it's over now. Sort of like the phones we're talking about.

As others have mentioned, loved playing snake and texting was terrible.
First phone I bought was the razr that others have mentioned.
I think my favorite phone through the years has been the original iPhone. A great smart phone and that thing was damn near impossible to break. Many drunken nights where that thing got dropped, tossed, stepped on and it kept on going and didn’t show any damage.

This was my first one. Got it in Dec. 1995. I remember going on a weekend trip to LA in '96 and getting a $600 phone bill that month.
