Agree, although the second time they met wasn't particularly close. Not sure if that was a greater familiarity separating them or if Smith's injury played a part. Smith can be dangerous, so I don't discount him.I don't think that Joe Smith ever beats Nolf but that first match was close. It was 5-3 late with Smith pressing the action. The only reason Nolf got his last takedown is because Smith was over aggressive going for the the tying takedown.

I always wonder about coaches' kids being near their potential early on - in any sport, with physical advances driving a disproportionate share of their gains. We'll see soon enough if JoJo experiences that.JoJo had a long year still really impressive young man!
