We did it as a play in 8th grade at my school.

I think it was more about the kid than the mouse. But yes, I read it because I am from CF too.

Cliff Robertson played Charly, the mentally challenged man, in the movie. We watched it in junior high after reading the book. The movie was named after him rather than the mouse. Robertson won an Oscar for the role.
