I enjoy his commentary....certainly there were a couple of times I disagreed with him. Thought he was off base on Adam W...but his game calls are entertaining and often times he has some interesting insight. I think he's better than most.

In over 55 years of watching college basketball, Dan has managed to become one of my least favorite people on TV. And I usually never dislike anyone. I just don’t. But he insulted Fran on Twitter a couple of years ago (and wouldn’t let it go), insulted the team, has made fun of people in the Iowa crowd, specifically the gentleman who has been attending every game for years, and sits in the front row to the right of the announcers’ table, Dan is known amongst his colleagues as someone who hates everyone, and he should really only be the Voice of Indiana basketball when Alford takes the job on the same day hell freezes over.

There, I got it out of my system. Now, if you really want to know how I feel about him, PM me.

To be honest, any announcer that does more than 2 games at Iowa gets tired of front row guy.

Dakich is unapolgetically opinionated, so he occasionally rubs people the wrong way. (Myself included). However, if you are not a basketball guru and want to learn something about the game of basketball, listen to him call a game.
