Fran’s Future

It does appear the Fran era is over, and I think it’s probably time.

I can’t take any joy in it, however, because I would much prefer that he and Iowa have success. Hopefully the next man will do better.

Not true.
Fran's not setting in his chair with his face in his hands yet.
He s to busy playing pocket pool

a link was provided. here is what analyst said between posting Frans resume. typical of click bait articles. A lot of useless information before and after a tidbit kind of related to click bait title.

“Change just feels inevitable in Iowa City. Fran McCaffery has made Iowa competent, but interest and attendance have waned in Year 15,” Isaac Trotter wrote. “Retirement could also be in play for McCaffery, 65. It wouldn't be a surprise to anyone in the coaching fraternity if a new face is prowling the sidelines in Iowa City next winter.”

Everyone: Click on “Retiring?” to open the link to the article.

OP: could have made it more obvious that there is a link there.
Did I really miss that or was this post edited to include it? Well either way your post isn’t so bad after all op!

To be fair, that text didn't look like link. It just looked like regular text.

It does link to the article, which seems more like speculation than any inside info.

Are the Hawkeyes better right now than the Lickliter teams?
Marginally better. Granted this team little snake bitten by injuries but even then so lack the athletes especially in the backcourt. 15 years later we’ve come full circle. “Let’s get mad again…”

I’ve noticed Rivals has started making it harder for links to show up as links.

I think Licks best team would be a tossup with this current team. Gatens, Jake Kelly, Cole, Tate, Palmer. Hell Bawinkel would probably make 7 or 8 3's with this years perimeter defense.

Old Soldiers don't just retire and Fade away, they demand being fired and getting their full buyout package.

I’d have to disagree. This team obviously isn’t good. But going down the depressing memory lane of Lick’s last year I don’t think this team is nearly as bad. That team opened the season with losses to UTSA & Duquesne at home…. I think some will say this year because it is in our recent memory. But look at some of the box scores especially the last 2-3 is sad. We got lucky to hit 40 pts vs Wisconsin. With 3:30 left Iowa had 31 pts in that game. Also got to take in consideration of health with no freeman and even Koch.

I stand corrected.
