According to the DM Regester- termination at the end of this year- the buyout is 3.8 mil. So, he either gets fired, retires or goes on through the 27-28 season. I don't think option 3 is viable. Maybe Beth says retire or your fired at the end of the season? If he retires maybe they negotiate the 3.8m down a little so he can save face. If he is not willing to negotiate then he is fired.

Saving face is not worth walking away from the last big payday of near 4M , Hell I would make out with Rosie O Donnel while fluffing Vladamir Zelensky knowing that swimming in that near 4M just paid for Me hustling little hot Latinas on vacation while the tequila washes away the taste and the memory of it.
I’m having a hard time thinking of another coach in any sport at any level less deserving of keeping his job for another year. There simply isn’t anyone else out there tenured as long at a proud program whose team is performing so badly and has completely lost the fan base. It is truly THAT bad.
