Fran just looks like a Penn Guy! I guess he is back where he is more of a natural fit ... and congratulations are in order.
I had never thought of Iowans as a hardscrabble lot of people until given a front-row seat to the workings of the Iowa Athletic Department over the past 5-7 years of so. Clearly, the collective will is to be followed. Beth is off to a good, albeit a rather herky-jerky launch, after imposing her will and making it happen in a couple of cases.

LOL. Unfortunately no. Someone should have hired some co-eds for a sting operation.
Not sure if serious, but nope. Being fired "for cause" would be getting yourself involved in some sort of scandal, committing a felony, or something like that.
Lack of attendance due to fan apathy, doesn't qualify.
The defense was quite offensive, bordering on scandalous. Maybe I am stretching it.

That said I do foresee a bit of a renaissance for the Ivy League as being sort of NIL-proof. They’ll be able to develop guys and keep them for four years where other mid major schools can’t because of how much more their diplomas are worth. Will be interesting to see them in the FCS playoffs to boot. Trading an Ivy League degree for a realistic NIL deal isn’t worth it.

This could very well happen, but it sure seems like it was started by a fake account and gradually picked up by more reputable accounts.

They may be Converse shoes, but Converse All-Stars had a larger circle near the top of the shoe. My granddaughter requested a pair of All-Stars for Christmas and the ones she got look like the 60's shoes.
Coach got us all a pair in '67 on our Frosh-Soph team. Pretty nice. Yeah, they had the big circle on top.
It will be easy to see Fran's impact in his first season at Penn this fall. Penn has been a basement dweller in the Ivy and the nation the past two seasons. I'll be excited to see what he does there.

Well, the Quakers haven’t been to the sweet sixteen since the 1970’s, so I don’t think the expectations will be that high.
Penn is one of the most storied basketball programs in college basketball history.
